My wife and I used to play a bit, but gave it up after the series was sold, and it became very unbalanced. I take some exception to Green becoming a super suit.

The thing is....for all of its monster cards, it is still one of the easiest to put down. I mean a 1/1 can stop a 12/12 cold......all you need is something to keep respawning weenies and you are in while you direct damabe takes them out....and there are your protection cards as well as numerous others. Monsters are for thrilling little boys and newbies.....give me a white and blue weenie deck with flying any day

Well, yes, I like blue decks, myself--but green ones now have literally no weaknesses, and strengths in everything. They have enchantments, sorceries, instants with non-physical effects, even the means of halting blue spells. That probably explains why everybody does green decks, these days.
And it was all so nicely balanced, at one time! Btw, did you ever try the Microsoft game that came out in the mid-90s for M:TG? The one where you could play against the computer?

Really?,
That is a shame, I confess, I have not baught any new decks in about 8 months.
Yes I did. I still play it all the time......It is a great little game. The only thing is I wish you could update the card packs. It is still one of the sweetest games out there though .IMO

Eery used to, and probably still is a big fan of M:TG. Not sure if he'd want to sell his cards though

Not over the last year or so. Green has loads of stoppers for anything that can be done by other decks, and a plethora of small and large creatures with all sorts of side effects. I think if you compare M:TG's current division of powers among the five colors with the way it was, say, five years ago, you'll really see a drift towards homogeneity.

Played it a little in my army days. Some guys were really hooked on it and had bought some cards (back then there weren't many cards - this is some 7/8 years ago). But after trying it a few times and beating the <insert four letter word> of the guys I got the cards from one of them. He simply handed them to me because he didn't want to play anymore (or so he said

).
Dunno if I have them still, stucked away in a closet - but I never played it much since and haven't bought any decks or packs or what they are called.
Played the computer game on PC also though.

Magic has changed alot in the last 4 or 5 years. has changed much much more since it came out. ive noticed a cross over in spell ablitities in the last 4-5 sets mainly in the new ones, but its been a lil bit in all of em then just all out chaos. i still dont think there is one all powerfull color. even if blue has been a major thorn in my side more then once. the harder decks ive played against are ones that splash colors. you can usually pull of more/better combos

the guy i used to play with moved to Ã…rhus (2 hours by train) so its been awhile since i had a good fight. just got new cards and cant tet them
