A waste of time!

I'm registered with several websites that give their members access to free movie previews, and last week I happened to get some tickets for a film. The only catch was, this was a "mystery screening for a TOP SECRET summer blockbuster!!" Alarm bells ringing? Oh yes. But since it was free, and I had nothing better to do with a couple of hours on a Monday evening, I went along.
Alas, I should have known better.

As the title came on to the screen, my brother (the only person I was able to find to take along) turned to me and said "What have you done?!" I agreed. The film was none other than
Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life - and when I have to fill in a feedback form tomorrow, I may just recommend that the best way to get people to see it probably is to dupe them into thinking they're going to see something else. No sane person would actually pay to sit through two hours of such complete tripe.
Which brings me to my main point - I was fooled into wasting (nearly) two whole hours of my life watching this poor excuse for a film.

My question is: what have you done in your life that was a total waste of time, that didn't benefit you or improve your life in any way, that you regret spending your precious time on?

I drove 50 minutes for the worst blind date in my life, watched Pirates of the Carribean which was better than I expected, dropped her off then drove another 50 miles back home.

I saw Tomb Raider the Cradle of Life. Wasn't my idea but went along with the masses. It is two hours of my life I can't have back.

Visiting my wife's pleasant but utterly conventional and boring family. Visiting my own completely unpleasant family.

What I'm doing right now could be considered a complete waste of time.

Well there was those few times that I had to get up early and take a very long trip into the city only realise that the other person I was to meet overslept by a few hours.
Hehe...

well, you got to do some shopping, you know how you love shopping...
@Scayde and CE

Surely there must have been something good about your former husbands and the time you spent with them though, or you wouldn't have married them...?!
@Fable I never really understood why people insist on socialising with family members that they have nothing in common with except a bloodline... I would always rather spend my time with friends than family, and avoid family stuff whenever I can.
@Idioteque you drove 50 miles for a blind date?

How desperate are you?!?
