Hello. I completed the game some time ago, and have decided to go through it again from an evil point of view. My problem is my Sorceror.

Whenever I cast a spell, the damn fool runs up to the target and casts it point blank. Everytime. Fireballs, skull traps, magic missles, whatever. Its not that his vision is blocked either. My other casters have no problem, but for some reason my main character does. I have no idea how to fix it, and when I started a new game to test out another, I had no problem.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

It sounds as if your Sorceror was blinded.

The only issue I know of is that there is a bug which causes permanent blindness on all evil creatures that have had "Holy Smite" cast on them. This would be the case even if your own party cast the spell and you were in the area of effect. There is a Baldurdash fix for the bug.

There may be other similar bugs that cause blindness, but I am not aware of them.
