Guys, if you're going to post spoilers, put spoiler at the head of your posts, and drop down your remarks about a dozen lines after that. This is what Buck wants, it's his board, and it's courteous to people who don't want the answers. Thanks.

Fable, don't worry too much. If the people dun want to see the answer, they will pick the topic carefully and will not enter the forum when they see the obviously spoiler topic title.

It's Buck's policy. Second, people may want to know if their own rep's going to drop and read the topic, as a result--only to get spoiled.

So no, I'm not worried. I just think that people need to be told about the policy for it to be followed. Thanks for being so quintessentially reassuring, though. :D ;)

well then if you post everything as a spoiler than, even a very vague question about a bug that reaveals nearly nothing about the plot. I believe It would be imposible to look for help. I think this must be a bugs considering I can go kill everyone in the promonade and not loose 10 pionts of rep, but anyway. What do you all consider spoilers. Plots twist? Spell ideas?
Charater class Ideas? Bugs?
All of the above?

Help me out here because this does not relly seam like a spoiler. ( I'n fact one spoiler topic line has given away much more than this entire post.

Magneticus is right.

As a recently admonished new poster, I find the policy is unclear. The title "Human Flesh Armor" which has occurred in the past two weeks has the potential to spoil at least as much as any information in this thread.

JMHO.

@Magneticus, I never suggested you needed to put SPOILER at the head of your topic. If you'll check elsewhere, you'll see I've done that for topics which include spoilers in the initial post.

My comments were directed at later remarks in answer to your post, which were spoiler-ish. Policy's consistent, here, and has been for a long time. I know it's not like that on other boards, but hey, this is Buck's board. His policies. And they work pretty well.

Policy's kinda simple: if you were to play the game, and you read a post, would it give away important information about gameplay issues that could affect enjoyment? If so, treat it like a spoiler. That doesn't seem a lot to ask. :)

OK, while all the rest jibber away on the policies and such and being totally off-topic, let me try to see what's up with your issue.

First of all, are you able to GAIN reputation? If you gain a point, will it remain, or will it drop down again all by it's own, i.e. you get the point, you STAND on the spot not doing anyting and pling! it's gone?

Secondly, have you had ANY fights in some more crowded area, be it indoors or outdoors, with AE spells? Say you went to kill some mobs somewhere and you decided to do it fast way and nuked with a fireball? There's a chance that some "good" NPC like some peasant got in the way and was BBQ'd. Peasant killing is a whopping -10 to REP (nobles are though just -5 heheh).

Third, have you tried to clear out some houses and such, and have been caught - there's one funny place where ONLY a cat is in the house, and that stupid cat CAN and WILL call the guards heh - by guards? Maybe you even fought those guards and killed them (not sure if they have REP attached, but anyway)?

Also, some actions lower the REP as well. Say the buried Tirdir quest, when you go the ransom way, lowers REP some. If you after that get Viconia, it's another hit to REP. After that, only something small like killing some stupid uppity noble and blam, REP is down. Also, if your REP is too low, some NPC's may attack and maybe you killed them in "self defense" and lost some more?

So your saying all those skull traps in the government building had something to do with it? No no just kidding. Killing a peasent gives you -10 ouch that must have bean it however I never noticed the offence. Well I went back a few days and replayed--paying much closer attention--and did not have the same problem. Though I did the same things in the same order strange.

Thanks for the Help.
