How did you make your character invulnerable?

I've heard there are some great ways to make your character pretty nigh invulnerable to both magic and physical attack - starting with choosing the right race to begin with and then using different spell/item combos.
Have you tried this? What was your solution and how did it work for you?

Hello fellow Londoner
My Morrowind experience was that my character got very powerful very soon anyway and I felt most battles seemed too easy.
I started off playing a Nord because I wanted to be a strong fighter and with all the items and magic you pick up along the way, I found that only the beginning of the game was difficult tactics-wise.
Why do you want to be unvulnerable anyway?

You do not need to be invunerabe. As Enchantress says you soon get so powerful that nearly all battles are way to easy.

Beeing invulnerable :
just get enough items with constant effect : Chameleon (80+%)
or enough items with constant effect :
restore health
like, with 2 rings + 1 amulet you can regen 12hp/sec
For melee invul, you can get constant items with sanctuary.
100% sanctuary = "can't touch this !"
still, i don't use those methods, wayyyy too cheesy

If serious there should be, IIRC, TGM (Toggle God Mode) command on console.

I made 3 CE items:
- H E A L T H amulet - 4 pts restore health [worn constantly] - I have died with it, but not very often, and I don't need to sleep.
- Physical Restoration ring - restore speed, endurance, strength, agility (can't remember the numbers, but about 2 each) - [used as needed]
- Mental Restoration ring - restore willpower, intellegence, personality, luck (can't remember the numbers, but about 2 each) - [used as needed]
Cuirass of Saviour's Hide
daedric greaves (w/ feather 50)
Helm of Orwyn Bearclaw
daedric tower shield (w/ fortify strength 45)
Fist of Radagulf - left
Wraithguard

BTW, instead of 50 Feather you could put 10 Strenght - the same carrying capacity and more aid in fighting.

I completely agree - except that I acquired them as such: House Telvanni quest for Therana - get Auril's Bow for her and you get daedric cuirass and greaves both with feather.

Pair of Daedric gloves w/o enchantment, of course. I do not remeber exactly where and what quest leads to them, however, you'd have to search the forum. There are free to get 2 Daedric helms (and 1 or 2 more on neutral NPC), Daedric greaves and Daedric boots, too. No cuirass and plaudrons save but one set on some NPC you're not supposed to touch (there is a way i guess, altogether it's outside my RP style).

I'm not exactly invulnerable, but with my strength at 193 it comes pretty close to that.
It's not so much for the extra power it gives your char, but i can carry so much more around being this strong. That was a big plus for me.
I enchanted a pair of exquisite pants, an exquisite shirt, exquisite belt, Daedric pauldrons, Daedric runed katana, and Daedric runed parrying katana, all of them with constant effect fortify strength enchantments, that's how it got that high.

Use Breton race and choose birthsign "Atronach" - that makes you almost immune to magic from the very beginning. Adding 100% Sanctuary and a little extra magic resist, such as CotSH, and you're actually invincible.
If you like it a bit more challenging, try finding the best items in the game; It's a little bit personal view, which items really are the best, but thats what I think:
Bearclaw Helm
Cuirass of the Savior's Hide (Dragonbone/Daedric Feather)
Fists of Randagulf
Wraithguard (Fists of Randagulf)
Boots of Blinding Speed (drawback = 0 if Breton with CotSH)
Enchanted Belt (preferably restore stamina)
Enchanted Clothes (with all nice effects: night eye, water walking, restore life, etc...)
Necromancer's Amulet
Royal Signet Ring (quite challenging to get)
Sanguine Ring (dunno which ring is good... pick the most suitable)
The Weapon is quite a choice, the best, of course, is Trueflame, but I prefer Daedric Crescent or Skullcrusher or Sunder. Chrysamere and Umbra are also quite OK. If you use 1 hand, then add an enchanted Daedric Shield.
With that combination, you actually ARE invincible. I know NOT A SINGLE enemy in the whole game that could kill you even if you do almost nothing. If you add some nice self-brewed potions, you'd better buy another game cause you'll get tired of Morrowind quite soon after killing every single living being on the continent.
