Monk Shield Question

What shield should a monk use? and where to find the best shield, I know different people will think different so throw out whatever and define why please. I have a level 12 monk with dc 25 in chapter 2

I must say that I didn't use shield with my Monk either.
Better to hit more often because the Monks AC is generally rather high by itself, without needing the shield bonus'.
