I have all 4 cd's, but i can't seem to be able to install.
Whenever i try to, when it gets to 3%, it pauses and asks for cd2. then cd3. then cd4. then cd5. There is no cd5, lol.
I tried all official help, all kinds of installations, copied to hdd ,everything, no help. BTW, the baldur.ini file is empty...what am i supposed to fill it up with?
Please note that i do not actually have the cds, but their images. Should i burn them?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

If by saying that you don't have the CDs but only the images, are implying that it is a pirate version, then know that piracy aren't accepted at this site.

I had this problem too, just for a brief moment, however. Whenever your CD-ROM gets too stressed out, and your resources are getting up at the limit, the installation seems to hiccup and mess up.
What i suggest doing is restarting your PC before installing, and loading it with only core necessities, explorer.exe being one of them. This will, put less stress on your system, and therefore, hopefully causing your installation to go properly.

I know this may seem basic and obvious, but I've seen this happen before where if you have multiple disc drives on your computer, and you alternate the disks in the drives (putting CD1 in drive 1, then when it asks for CD2, putting it in drive 2 and leaving CD 1 in drive 1, etc.) the installation just continues to ask for higher and higher disk numbers without installing.

I've tried that too. Remember, i'm not using actual cds, just their images. I think i'll burn them...
But i don;t have money for blanks, lol

Geez, you KNOW what blanks cost, don't you? I'd say, wander your town and look on the ground, you'll probably find enuff cash there... *lol*
As for your prob, I encountered it with some other games as well. Sometimes its the prob with the multiple emulated drives, so using only one virtual drive and changing the mounted image with every cd change you're asked for can fix that. However, sometimes only burning helps - and sometimes neither...
