no local map

my local map is just black... anyone knows how to fix that?

I'm not sure why this happens occassionally but I often get this phenomena when I'm levitating over long distances. Try going back to an area that has bee explored and switching back and forth between the two map choices until you regain the local map. This has always fixed it for me.
