Supposedly there is a glitch that allows you to duplicate items equipped to your party by sending them through an airlock door on the sea floor in Manaan. It is posted as such on this website but I cannot duplicate the results. Does anyone know if this works for Xbox? If so, please let me know how...Thanks.

it definitely works on x box as i have personaly made hundreds of thousands of credits off of exploiting this glitch :) are you sure your doing it right remember that you have to have to remove the item you want duplicated from your party members and it wont work with your main character

This glitch is the best glitch in the game. I have also made thousands of credits from this glitch.

You mean it's the worst glitch in the game, since it removes some of the challenge. :D ;)

How does it remove the challenges of the the game? All it does is help you get more money or more stuff that you can't get.

I didn't write that it removes the challenges. I wrote that it removed some of the challenge. It's a cheat: it allows you to receive for free items that you would otherwise have to buy through (for instance) repeatedly killing creatures for their hides. Of course that lessens the challenge: getting anything for free, which you would otherwise have to earn, does that. ;) This isn't a rant against cheats. It's just a statement of fact. The more you ramp up the difficulty in anything, the more sense of achievement there is in success. The more you break the scenario for an easier win, the less achievement.

All you have to do for the cheat is go to Manaan and go down to the Sea Floor with the equipment you want to duplicate. When you get to the air lock, just take all the equipment the you want duplicate off the NPCs and then walk through the air lock. Then walk right back in. And you will see that all your NPCs will have the equipment you just took off on again.

On my fourth time through BG2, I didn't use cheats, I did the opposite: I tried to find the weakest party NPCs (IMO) possible, rolled myself up a character once without improving my stats, and set the game on hard. :D Each to their own. ;)

very powerful ranged weapons usually sell for quite a lot, especially on yavin. look through your inventory and find the best ones you have and just duplicate them. same goes for the most powerful melee weapons you have.

why isn't it working for me?

I've followed the info on the cheats section and it doesn't seem to work for me on PC version...
