Hi all.., if you need to id items and dont pay the 100gp's then include a cleric of boccob with domain spells in the realm of "magic" in your party, he will get the id item spell, and he does not have to pay the gold....

this info is not a sure thing, as i have not played the game yet, but it is the core rules from 3'th ed, not sure if they changed that rule in the new 3.5'th ed though....

Hope this helps someone...

I tried but to no avail ... i'm sure they have chained the 100 gp payment with the id spell regardless of which one or by whom is casted ... we're doomed by the 3.5 rules :p
It would be cool if, in a future patch, they would add a no fee for potions or at least the ability to stack unid potions ... my first concern, tho, still remains ided items descriptions and stats, at least after u use them a bit (like in the 3.5 rules).

Ya .. i have checked it out myself now, and its a no-go on the easy id..., but i think that the same rule applies in the new addition, and that this is a bug, if you worship boccob you should have identify for free.., ie. no cost, cuz you use your holy symbol instead of the 100gp value, and focus components are re-useable... well i could be wrong.. ?
