Sith base elevator

Help! For some reason I just cant get into the Sith Base Elevator on Taris! I've done everything there is to do on Taris and my party is well beefed up (including the droid!). Is there a minimum number of Security Spikes needed? (i only have 5...and Ive serched everywhere for more but there are none!). This si driving me mad! PLease HELP!

You don't need any security spikes, just make sure you use the droid to open the door (just select the droid and click "open" on the door).

You cant get in the Sith Base Elevator? or into the Sith Base itself??
If you cant get into the Sith Base make sure you have T3-M4 in your party, select him/her and walk it over to the door...this will triger a small cut sceen and you'll be in! Mind you I have problems getting the T3-M4 to open the door if my guy was right up against the door. Id swich over to the T3-M4 and he wouldnt do squat untill I backed off and came at again.
If you cant get into the Elevator, go to one of the security terminals found at the entrance to the Base or in the Control Room and access the camras...one of them will be located in the Elevator Room and it will have the option to Disable the Turrets, Disable the Assault Droid's Shields and to open the Elevator. If you'v done this already and still nothing happens then I have no clue!
