nashkel help

i have entered nashkel about 14 days ago in the game and the guards attacked me because i had a bad reputation. i have searched around and can not find anything about it. is there any way to get them off my back. i have tried killing them, they just summon more from where i am seeing it. i dont want to go back over 20 days in the game. thanks!!

You have to lift your reputation, you can do this by donating money to the church, or complete quests that will give you a reputation point.
I guess your reputation is 1 or 2, because the guards attacked you, keep in mind that stores won't sell items either!

i bought my reputation up to 12 but the guards still attacked me. does it need to be higher than that?

I think because they attacked you once, they will attack you the rest of the game, they remember you in a way, I tried to pickpocket some guy early on, and 200+ game days later, he still is hostile and my rep is 20

Well you can beat the game without going to Nashkel, you'll just miss some heavy XP (mine quest, brage unless you run fast out of the town
) ... Just enter the mines and kick the **** out of the bad guy and you'll know what to do next.

Try charming him and then talk.. Does it work ? Couple beat-the-games ago I accidently hurt some important quest guy with fireball and he turned hostile but I charmed him and then talked and managed to get the Xp
