Am I going blind?

No one else ever seems not have this problem so i'm worried i'm actually going blind (no causes of blindness jokes please  )

I recently bought Ruins of Myth Drannor off Ebay fo a fiver. I really like it and happily wandered around thr Ruins fighting Orcs, Zombies, visiting Elves and the like.

Then i ventured into the depths and :(
I can't see a bleedin thing. I notice there are no Gamma setting ... aha .... thanks!! Well i like the realism n all but i can't see any of the objects in the rooms because it's so dark. i can cast light which illuminates the room temorarily but i can't do that in EVERY Room.

I wandered around for an hour before realising that there's a chest in the first room with the living key and that was only because i came to the Banshee site for help as i was wandering around in circles :p

I've recently got the Temple of Elemental Evil too and have the same problem. The Night Battles are a nighmare as again i see very little. Which makes me wonder if there's something wrong with my system. Most games are ok as they have Gamma settings so i just turn them up if it's too dark but RoMD and ToEE don't have Gamma settings.

Ok i feel better now :D

the solution

I know what ur going through, it may be your monitor which is the problem. on ur pc desktop go into my computer, then into contol panal, and then double click display(the icon is a little monitor) on one of the tabs on the display menu thing should have an advance settings option which allows you to change contrast, brightness, and gamma. it may not be labled
"advanced" and may be accessed by a different button such as device settings, but it is definantly in the display menu somewhere, hava good look in there try all the tabs + buttons. hope this helped you out, let me know if it worked :D
