item discriptions

Is there a way to get a discription of an item in the inventory screen. Mousing over a particular item gives you some info but not much. For example if you mouse over a cloak of elvenkind it doesn't tell you exactly what it does. Just the basics ie AC bonus, chance of spell failure, etc. It doesn't tell you what the cloak actualy does.
