Hi, I`ve just started playing this game again. (Last played it when it first came out)
My four starting characters are level 7/8. Is this right? I thought at the beginning, everyone was level 1.
I have been playing the first version of the game, but didn`t export any characters.
I`m not complaining, just curious.

Yes, it's correct. You mean you don't recall starting with a bunch of levels under your belt?

There's a reason..

And the reason is:

The game is built as a sequel to Baldur's gate (qv), which would wrap you up at about that level. You can play one character all the way through from level 1 in BG to level 30-something at the end of Throne of Bhaal

Thanks. I don`t remember playing with `a bunch of levels under my belt` but it was a long time ago that I played it.

All party characters availabel to you in that starter dungeon begin around 7-8th level, but the only one whose attributes you control is your PC.
