is there anyway to get a more detailed description of items than the one that appears when you hover over the item. All other rpg games have so i assume this one does. If there is a thread already going on this please point me too it.

No, that's not a feature of TOEE.

In the patch they said that there will be an item description.

Er, no. Rather, read what it says here. There will be long descriptions of *items you identify.* But Gobberlerra is asking about basic items that you find in the game, and which now have almost insultingly brief descriptions. These latter won't unfortunately change.

Do you mean this part:

* long descriptions for items are now available (if it is a magic item, it must be identified first). hover over the item in inventory and press SHIFT-CLICK to access the item description (in a popup window).
