Working official patch

I have never posted online before, but I tried something that I thought might be of interest. If my format or etiquette is poor, I apologize.
If you go to the "official patch" link on Atari's site and click the link you get an error. However, if you opposite click the link, you can select "Save target as..." You can then save the patch to your desktop.
I did this and when the download was complete I double-clicked the desktop icon and the patch updated my game. The only thing I checked was selling weapons in Nulb, but I noticed that my monk with zero ranks in appraise was getting the same gold for an item as my rogue with 10 ranks. I know that was one of the updates (all party members get the benefit of the highest appraise skill in the party), so I'm assuming that the entire patch worked correctly.
I know that people were getting frustrated, but I'm enjoying the game. I hope this helps others to enjoy it as well.

What do you mean, "opposite click the link"?

By opposite click the link I mean that if you normally use your left mouse button, use your right mouse button (and vice versa). This will bring up a sub-menu where one of the options is "Save target as..."
Left click (normal click) that option and it will bring up a save menu. I simply saved the file to my desktop. The download took about 5 minutes over cable internet. Once the download completes, you can double click the patch icon and...voila! Instant happy gamers! (or at least I'm sure Atari hopes so!)

The "save target as" didn't work for me.

Did the "save target as" option not even come up, or did "save target as" come up and you couldn't get the patch to save?
You do have to make sure that your mouse is over the link before opposite clicking. I also don't know if these instructions will work the same on a Mac (if that is what you are running).
I'm sorry it didn't work right away. I was hoping everybody would be able to access it this way. I know it worked for me.

I've had the link to the patch from the Atari Support site in my Getright (download manager) for days, ever since I first triedto download it. A few minutes ago I decided to try and commence the download just in case it was now there - and the download started! It's now at 12% of 8.72 MB, so it now seems to definitely be there. Not sure if it works yet though - I'm only on dialup so I've got a little while to wait yet .....

I read up on Atari's forum that a few people are now having problems with the copyright protection, where they didn't, before. But I emphasize "few."

In case you're wondering, fable, I haven't. Just thought that would make you feel a little better about it.

Oh, I'm hoping it will work for everybody, @Galuf. The game's an RPG turnoff for me, but the combat system and graphics are fine, and I want anybody--whether they agree with my review or not--to get the most they can out of TOEE. If the game becomes not only playable but a great deal more fun, then that's a net gain, IMO.

I think monks in general are still bugged even after the patch. Tumble for example doesn't work with my monk though he's wearing no armor at all.

It might not be a bug, as my 7th level monk tumbles quite often. Is it possible that your tumbles have just been unsuccessful so far? I have 10 ranks in the skill and a dex modifier of 5 (gloves of dexterity are COOL). Before the system even "rolls the dice," this gives me the requisite 15 tumble check to make a successful tumble to avoid ANY attack of opportunity. However, at lower levels, I did miss quite a few of those checks, and I took some major hits as a result.
I've played 3rd edition pencil and paper Dungeons and Dragons quite a bit and Monks have been my favorite character class. So far, I haven't found any errors in the translation. But, I also haven't gone really in depth into the 3.5 edition monk changes.

17/18 dex(not sure) and 10/11 tumble. I haven't done any checks yet. And I've also had a rogue and a bard before and they both did the tumble checks.

This is something that never happened pre-patch, but my ranger is using +2 longsword primary, and master shortsword secondary. Now his first move into combat works fine, but on his second turn he doesn't attack, and his movement bar slides almost all the way down. Also, I can't space bar to the next combatant, esc to the menu, or open his radial menu. Has anyone else experienced this?

Tumbles
I haven't had any tumble problems.I usually give the skill a point or two every other level up.The atari web site with the patch also lists the fixes. There are several spoilers too.
