Map Flags

Ok, I've put off TOEE to wait for the patch. Now that the patch is actually out, I've started the game. Now, after playing BG series, I am used to flagging different sections of the map. Now, Hommlet is a very big town, and I need a lot of flags. But later I found out that the number of map flags is limited. Is there a way to disable the limit and have infinite map flags, or am I just stuck with this system?
