plzzz some1 help me to pick npc to make my party of dreams see what im thinking==>me pally,viconia,edwin(evil..evil),jan than imoen....i thnk it sounds goods and sugestions of change???
im tired of my solo sorcerors and mages inspired in elmonster ...
anything i will be happy (im glad my first thread)...

What kind of party are you playing good, evil or neutral?
Your paladin has to be good, Imoen is good, Jan is neutral, and Edwin and Viconia are evil. You'll have to manage your reputation carefully if you dont want anyone to leave or to lose your paladin status.

i dont know any sugestion??

also forget to ask what is the best pally the normal pally inquisitor or undead hunter?im thinking in a inquisitor cause edwin dont have true sight

Its your party you have to decide how you want to play. If your set with paladin then you should go with a good party.

Do you have the Throne of Bhaal expansion? If you don't then I would suggest Undead Hunter as undead are one of the most common enemies in SoA. If you do have ToB then I suggest Inquisitor because their abilities are more useful against mages and there are less undead in ToB.

too bad i dont have the tob expansion i really want to buy but i dont find it here in brazil what a ****....i will go to a good neutral path take a look at this===>me pally,jan,aerie,some godd fighter

I have found that Anomen is one heck of a good cleric at higher levels. You have to successfully complete his personal quest, though.

Viconia is pretty good too - but you are a PALADIN. Good guy. Viconia is evil - Bad Guy .

Same logic goes for Eddie. Nalia is decent for a good party (and you can pick her up pretty early in the game and level her up quickly)

I like the Inquisitor ability (Keldorn) for Paladins. To add on to earlier responses, you can use Anomen/Viconia and Aerie (another Good Guy) to protect yourself from the undead.

Hey it's your party. I have only played two of them - both good.

Mazzy is the only "good" fighter in the game and I'm surprised more people don't pick her up. Minsc is a great fighter (ranger class) and should be in every good aligned party. Too bad he doesn't have any quests. Keldorn is another option and you should pick him up especially if you are roleplaying since he is a paladin too.

is mazzy a strong fighter?i never pick up her i just hate her she is too weak take a look me,mazzy,aerie,jan??

BG2/SoA is constructed in such a way that you can win, even on the hard level, with any combination of characters. ToB requires more thought for party composition, but not SoA. Just choose whomever you want, and have fun. Personally, I'd suggest going with the people who have high personality, like Jan and Minsc; but it's entirely up to you.

mazzy CAN be a good fighter for you - but she needs help. Something like a Girdle of Giant Strength (I think you can buy one soomewhere) - and/or you could give her a sling/bow or other missile launcher...

I don t think play evil and good is a problem anywhere, i have played many times evil in good team in rl ad&d game without a single problem, and in baldur all my cleric are evil while the rest of my team is good or neutral.
now it depend if you want to respect the roleplay or not but play a dark elf with a paladin isn t something u can see everyday

my actual team is :
- Dwarf Cleric/fighter chaotic evil (main char since bg1)
- Human Baladin (inquisitor) lawful good
- Half-orc Barbare chaotic good
- Human Kensai/mage lawful good
- Human Berserker/thief chaotic good
- Extra room to play pnj for quest.

i will try to make a party with 2 evils 2 good and 1 neutral

Filipe, perhaps you should try this:

Main (you) - No paladin, IMHO
Anomen (make him better for ToB, personal quest is indeed needed)
Valigar
Jaheira (Preparing her to ToB too)
Aerie
Jan Yansen (you need a decent thief)
Now, if you're up to increase the punch of your party, pick up another tank, like Minsc. But if you like the thrill, Nalia (she is just a fair spellcaster, not good enough, but it gives some trouble to keep the game under control, IMHO)

Why not? Should work as well as any.

Or consider a party of Edwin and two modded sorcerors, that are available in links posted in the top thread here in this forum: three sorcs, and yourself.

Really, the sky is the limited. Be creative, try whatever you like. It all works.

one cleric, but eveyone can cast mage spells...so no one wears armor, but everyone can cast destruction spells...makes a lot of battles hard on my graphics card, spells going everywhere, but lots of fun if you really love the magic system and understand it in bg2...

just got these big old chunky hunks of tin rusting inside my bag of holding..sigh...

i really like this party because i dont knw to play with other class only with mages and sorceror but what is this mod and where can i dl it?

Well, that may be truth for a hardened BG combat master, but for a newcomer... I started with the natural choice for good aligned: A paladin. Then I had a wish for power, started a fighter (all in bg1). Because of the high armor rates, if you know what I mean.
In BG2, started a Barbarian (OK) tried a monk (yuck), and a mage (yuck). Now, after 3-4 times finishing the game, I really do lots of damage with bards and mages, so I don't need armor anymore, if you've got my point.
Now i've started a mplayer to create a whole party of my own, exept for Solaufein and my romance (Aerie or Viconia, depending on my party).
IMHO mr FTelles wants to kick ass, and learn the gaming sistem. Using the kensai can be a mess, I think.

My party seems really unbalanced at a glance, but works quite well.

i already know the game system i have finished the game with my mage necromancer (one of my first char sux but was a lot fun),i have finished with my solo sorcerer ths week,a mage conjurer too,a brbarian and solo...
now im doing a kensai/mage
