Lack of Experience?

I just got to the twin dragon fight inside the Source Stone Sanctum. I am a true Fighter and am only at level 15. Am I to suppose I am to retreat and find some way to level up, although I have done everything there is to do besides a few of the side quests? Does anyone have suggestions on how to get experience besides turning evil and killing everyone in sight?

Level 15 sounds about right, for that stage.
My latest sorcerer were level 16 when finishing the game.
Some patch a little while ago, they decreased the amount of exp. that peopel would get, so people wouldn't cap out so fast.
Things that have influence on the amount of exp you gain is your class (fighters gain less then mages and then less then rogues), your company (Challenge Rating is affeting your exp. per monster, and challenge rating is based on your groups levels against the monster levels), and your choices when doing quests. (Seems good choices earn you more exp. and less gold)

If you don't appreciate that they're cutting you on XP you're supposed to get according to D&D rules, just open the chapters in the Toolset (have to rename them to .mod files first) and move the XP slider a little.

Thanks. I don't like to "cheat" until after I've finished the game once in its entirety. I will just keep at it and see if I can get through it.

The reason I tried that was that I got bored out of my skull by the official campaign. It tries to make up for lack of quality with extra quantity. And even with a couple of extra levels under my belt to plow through it all and speed things up, it lost my interest halfway through. If you ask me, official campaign would have been ten times better if they had taken out 90% of the non-story related hack & slash. But then people would have complained it'd be too short, no doubt. Nooo... can't have that, let's add more trolls.
Ah well, at least the game gets to be good in multiplayer.

But does it? Player interactions would be a big plus and a more interesting, less linear plot etc. One of my nagging dislikes was the world depiction. All the woods/wilds were very "square". No random shapes. No changing widths in cavern crawls. And with the thief detect traps skill, most traps were kinda obvious. Only hit a few when I got bored and frustrated and rushed things.
No depth, I guess is where I am going with this.

I would have to agree with that. The forest was basically the forest, no matter which forest you were in. The same went with the caves, dungeons and town, to an extent. I thought it was cool to " go into the snowglobe " but it was just another forest with another cave. It could've used a bit more depth in location.

No. In my humble opinion, the official NWN campaign does not make up for lack of quality with quantity. Because the fights are kinda boring already, adding ten times more doesn't exactly make things more fun. Enemy concepts and AI are all too generic to deliver interesting fights that require some tactics, and being able to rest anywhere anytime doesn't force you to change a winning pattern. It's all just rush in, use <insert favourite damaging power> up, rest, repeat. The whole campaign just oozes "generic", "bland" and "uninspired".
This goes for the official campaign only, though. Not for the game as a whole. Multiplayer and mod building (if such is your fancy) is quite alright. I also hear the single player campaign in Shadows of Undrentide is much better.

The OC in SoU expansion was somewhat better then the OC in the original NwN, although I feel it was way to short, and way to easy still.
It seems that in these days - the main problem that is presented to the player is what way to kill the "umpteen" mobs that are thrown at you.

At least it had a better story then either of the Dungeon Siege games. I'm writing some material for them now, and man, it's becoming hard to just pick the game back up to play
It's starting to make NWN look like gold...
