every time i load the game, after about 10 minutes korgan decides its not worth staying and leaves.. how do i keep him in my party? it seemed to happen after i did the trademeet thing, maybe its because my reputation is above 20?

Or, who can replace korgan as an equal tank?

Korgan is an Evil person so he doesn't like Heroic reputations. When you have evil characters in your party you'd best try to keep it below about 15 and they will be fine. Sure they will grumble every now and then but since you're not "too" good they will stay for a little while.
To keep him, get caught stealing, kill an innocent or kill an amnish soldier. Do something evil to drop the reputation, but be certain that it does not drop too far (concerning how happy your other party members will be about that).

Warrior type characters (Fighters, Rangers, Paladins) are best to replace him unless you are advanced enough to pick other character classes as main fighters. BArds, thieves, druids, clerics and mages can be very good frontmen, but only if you pay good attention to them and use their special abilities/spells to their advantage.

ok thanks for the info. guess i will try the bard my pally is all i need for tank i guess, hes godly, just owned that thing in bridge district where u fight the lich/beholder/caster chick/ect with him alone ;D had to hide everyone else tho

wee korgy is the best back up tank in the game, including saravok and keldorn...

only solafein from the mod is better...hit berserk, have him dual wield crom and axe of unyielding, improve haste him, and watch the dwarven helicopter chop his way thru the ranks of the monsters....

are bards any good? if so i will go with the bard, i dont want to ruin reputation. im a paladin =/

wow answered that myself... bard has LESS hp than my caster aerie.. so sad, well maybe another paladin ?

In that case, uoi'd want to go with a certain NPC that you meet on the Unseeing Eye quest.
