Bastila and Dark Side

Hi all, i'm a newb to these forums and wondered if anyone could offer assistance.

I have played the game through twice.

1st time i was lightside and managed to complete bastila quest, redeemed her and all, good laugh.

Then i played dark side, i was told that on the temple summit you can persuade bastila to join you as your lover and apprentice, i cannot no matter what i do get this line, she always says about your power will keep me loyal blah blah.

Not much if it only a line but still it is annoying. Has anyone else seen this line?, if so could you walk me through your game a little and see if there is anything i missed.

I also read somewhere that this line was removed from the PC version cos it sounds a bit S&M.

Lotte, hi. Welcome to the GB forums. :)

Please read the site owner's sticky thread at the top of the forum about posting spoilers--and consider putting a SPOILER designation in the title of any appropriate future threads you create. I'll do it for this one.

No problem. But trust me, someone would notice. And we'd find out through complaints in our mailboxes.

Think of it as common courtesy. I once asked a question in the very early days of the KotoR forum about a point roughly halfways through the game. One of the people who responded simply stated outright a significant plot twist that would occur right after I made a certain upcoming decision. I was steamed, and I told him so, since I hadn't asked for that information, and I certainly didn't want to know it. That surprised him. He thought we all wanted all the information we could possibly get--even if it spoiled the rest of the game.

has many people even completed the game yet on PC?, i'm still waiting/hoping for darksiders to contribute to this.

If you havent played through yet, remember this thread and post your findings.

Will be appreciated.

I played the evil side through as a female, so Bastila and I were purely platonic allies, but she DID join with me at the end. I don't remember all the dialogue options, but I'm pretty sure that I chose all the most offensive dialogue options I could along the way, and somehow I was still able to get her to join me at the end...

Perhaps one of the dialogue options that SEEMS to nix the deal actually leads to another dialogue path that -does- get her to ally with you?

i've just had a look over at bioware forums, there is about 30 pages regarding this. Nice to know im not the only one intrested.

Anybody who has anything to add please do so. I would suggest that completeing the (bastila)side quest romance on the ebon hawk would be a good start, then see what dialog you get at the temple summit.

As mentioned, you have to start off the Bastilla romance to win her over, the EbonHawk kiss being the first part of it.
Not sure what other pre-requisites there might be, but I just followed along the romance storyline & completed the Bastila's fathers Holocron quest, and the rest fell in place.

Once on the Temple Summit on the unknown planet you have to declare yourself the Dark Lord reborn, and then you will then get the "Join me & we will rule the galaxy" (paraphrased) response.
Then you're off like a prom dress,...

Things get a little dicey after this, as you will first have to dispatch (kill dead) two otherwise loyal & useful characters in Jhunani & Jolee, and then either kill or let go, both Carth & Mission. I found it fitting to force persuade Zalbaar to dispose of the twi'lek.

Hey, no one said love would be easy,...but your journey to the Darkside is now complete young padawan.

Cheers for the responses peeps. Just to let you know it took an extremely long thread at the official forum to find the answer.

It seems after the ebon hawk moment with bastila do not chat with her again till temple summit, doing so will reset the romance variable and cause you to lose good dialogue options at the temple summit.

To clarify, once bastila runs off back to the ****pit after the kiss you are able to stike up 1 line of dialogue, do not do this, soon she will be captured aboard the leviathon. If all has gone well there is some good dialogue atop the temple on the unknown world.

You don't have to kiss her to do anything. I've played the game four or so times, and I've never gotten the opportunity to kiss her due to some glitch or another. And when I was Light I turned her.

Once you kick Bastilas butt at the temple she practically begs you to became Revan again and let her be your apprentice.

The Ebon Hawk kiss is supposed to finish the Bastila romance so if you havent got this then it is not complete.

Atop the Temple you may be able to get her to become your apprentice but you will not get the lover and apprentice line among others.

You will probably also be able to turn her at the star forge but will get no mention of love, you will have to mention the jedi order or something like that to successfully turn her.

All i am saying is when the romance is complete the 2 dialogs(temple, star forge) are a lot more intresting.

My first time playing the game I didn't even know there was a romance with Bastila and at the star forge she still told me she loved me.

It still uses love if you try to turn her to the Light, whether or not you kiss.
