Problem loading saved games in SoU

I cannot open any saved games. When I come to the second screen, where you can choose "new" or "load" game, I can click the "new" button without further problems, but when I try to load a game the game crashes in a sound loop.

Have someone else encountered this problem and been able to solve it?

I'm in desperat need of help! It's not very amusing to play the intro everytime you wish to adventure a little!

Well, before we continue, can you give system specs, game version, and possibly any additional content you may have installed for the game?

The thing is it worked fine until two days ago. I can't recall that I have installed anything that could cause that kind of problem.

I have a Pentium III 800MHz computer with a NVidia card. As I mentioned above it has worked fine. I have nothing installed into the game except the patches available.

Alright then. Try a reinstall. Often that fixes more problems. If it's still around after that, you might be able to bypass the problem by turning the sound off.

I have reinstalled the game already, but I haven't tried to turn the game sound off. I'll try that! Thanx!
