Possible Walkthrough additions

v. 1.0 your basic install
discovered some interesting things that I think will add to the already helpful walkthrough. I read the walkthrough prior to starting the game for the first few runs,.. then I started referring to it after I had completed certain tasks to see how my efforts compared to others.
Stefansdom was quite frustrating. I made the error of not packing a lot of blood with me and once you enter that level you cannot go back unless you load from an earlier save. Any blood I received while running that I had to take from the LaSombra ghouls. "Stand and Deliver" became my phrase of the day after running that level. There were no vials to be found (save maybe 2) on that whole run.
I ran all of Stefansdom with practically no blood at all. what little I got I had to take from ghouls and then use to heal my health. Thanks to this forum I had good weapons on me. If not for those I would have had to restart. I wish that I had read gamebanshee before running Stefansdom as I could have grabbed myself the quick +10 humanity by not killing the Lasombra priest. Kind of a drag that,.. I was hoping for a good Obtenebration fight. But as it stood I had been killing all of his ghouls and dark hunters and was feeling charitable so entertaining his wishes to be released from vampiric existance seemed a kind enough thing to do. Too bad that the game thought otherwise when I turned his sanctum into an ashtray. No penalty,.. but still I wish that I had played the goody goody and got the +10 humanity.
Finishing this run and then being thrown into the dungeons of the Teutonic Knights with no blood and hardly any health was rough though. Finally figured out that I had to pull them one at a time and then my only chance was to get all four in my party to jump the heavily armoured knight all at once,... soon the helms were flying. It was heartwrenching to see all that blood go flying when I cut their heads off and to not be able to drink any of it. BTW what kind of a nutty prison allows the prisoners to keep their weapons? Still can't figure that out. So basically with no health and little or no blood, having to kill the knights one at a time, it took me forever to get out of jail. But I did it. I found it very intuitive the way that you could get just enough blood and then get hammered on so that when you went to the next level you were at about the same health level as you were when you started the last one. This definately added to the game play(enjoyably so). The sword of Ainkurn was the most perfect thing that could have been given to me after having starved for blood for so long. It felt like a can opener when I applied it to those Teutonic knights, the whole party got a nice refreshing drink after that.
As for Haus de Hexe, the walkthrough recommends going through the library first, laboratory second, and gargoyle factory third. It also stated that the berserker fang would be found in the laboratory on one of the tables. I didn't read the walkthrough on this until after I had already cleared the Haus. I took the opposite approach and hit the gargoyles first. I wanted to hit them while I was fully loaded on blood and my memory of Arden's was still vividly emblazoned on my mind so I went for them first.
Let me just say that the forums advice on Majesty was right on the money. It made the Haus a breeze. Gargoyles fell like ragdolls and the only blood I used up was when I fired off Majesty. I learned early that in order to conserve on blood usage I needed to keep my party members mostly empty. This worked out really great with the Gangrel Erik as he would do mass damage do to his clan pre-disposition. I just had to be mindful of where he was standing in relation to the other party members when his nuke went off. He torpored Serena quite a few times. Poor Serena. You gotta love her style though...
After the Gargoyle factory I went to the lab. Cleared out the lab in nothing flat,.. a breeze compared to the gargoyle factory. Then I had to crash for the night. Didn't get to finish Haus until the next day after work. I took the liberty of reading the walkthrough while at work, since I knew I was practically finished with Haus on my own anyway. Wanted to compare notes. I was surprised to read that the walkthrough stated that the berserker fang was in the lab. I did not find it in the lab. That night I went back into the lab and scoured the joint looking for that special item. It was nowhere to be found. So finally I shrugged it off, figured that I wasn't going to get it and lo and behold,.. I found it in the library. I'm thinking that if you hit the lab first,.. you find it in the library, and if you hit the library first you find it in the lab.
I was shocked to read that Erik was going to turn on me. Wasn't expecting that twist. I spoiled it for myself when I read that. Was kind of happy that I did though, as I had Erik loaded up with enchanted items. As an elder he had a large blood pool too so I stripped him of all his gear and then drained him dry before taking him upstairs to the slaughter.
After Haus de Hexe you have your one and only opportunity to sell your stuff and stock up on blood, blood, blood. I say this because when you go back to Prague, all the vendors there will be closed because the whole place is upside down. Those that don't have their doors locked will instead have sides of buildings blocking the roads and all kinds of pandemonium will be ensuing. So buy your stuff at Orvis while you can,... besides,.. you have to go back to him anyway to give him the journal of Etrius. The nice thing about pandemonium is that there are no Knights of St. John around to spoil your fun and you can run amok in the streets getting your fang on until you are filled up. Tonight I will be getting hit by a large column and hopefully waking up 800 years in the future with a ton of loot in my vault.(hopefully) I will let you know how it goes if I notice any more slight deviations from the walkthrough.
