Okay getting kind of frustrated here. After watching multiple deaths for over an hour I'm asking for some guidance. I have literally used in _one_ encounter over 28 blasts of call lightning, 2 shots of theft of vitae (it wont allow more than that because the thing is supposedly out of blood), 14 blasts of plague wind, over 30 blasts of fireball both of scroll variety and also discipline type, and it just wont drop. I counted it. Not exagerating here at all!

I know I'm hitting it. I have seen it burst into flame and then shrug it off. I see the whole thing light up like a x-mas tree when I nail with call lightning repeatedly,.. and it just wont drop. I use up more than 8 blood stones, 6 blood pearls, and about 9 standard vials of vitae, then I resort to draining my fellow coterie members. This thing just wont take damage. I am avoiding melee because it is just too uber to do that type of dance.

Usually I am standing in the doorway so that the thing can't get to me. I am definately possessing the upper hand here because I can hit it and it can't hit me, but it wont fall over and die. It's almost like the game has some kind of cheat engaged for this thing, and I am playing this on the level with no cheats. It's really difficult to see all that blood that I was storing for the future in my vault get burned up on a mob that just wont drop. Bye bye fae blood,.. bye bye Antedeluvian and Elder vitae,.. you are all just getting dumped into that pit of futility known as the Vohzd. What's the catch??? I finally got my hands on my buddy's manual and I have all the disciplines that I need, or should need. How should this be done?

Well, I believe that the Vozhd has a high resistence to discipline attacks, leaving melee the only viable option. Try assualting him with certain disciplines active, like Feral Claws, fortitude, the one that raises your strength, and celerity. Also, if you have the sword of Ainkurn, that does a nice number on him as well.

After many miserable deaths I had to admit that my strategy of many complex disciplines and creative vitae accumulation was faulty. Time to regroup. So I went to my options and for the first time in the game cheated by going to an earlier save. I know that I shouldn't have, but I had no other choice but to take out Etrius again and reverse the earlier mistake I made by selling my Ivory Bow.

So I went old school and low tech on that ugly 'you know what.' Ran down to the armourer in Vienna and purchased a couple of crossbows since they take less dex to be proficient in and do 5 more damage. I just didn't have the heart to try to melee with that thing again and see my Serena get chomped one more time. After all,.. she has been a much more faithful companion than Anezka ever was. She also understands the turmoil of eternity much more clearly than Anezka does since she's mortal and Serena knows what I'm going through right? So I had to do the right thing for the whole party and not throw them into the grinder again.

Anyway,.. I loaded up on ammo... if I could have purchased rocks to throw at it,.. I would have. So, one Ivory Bow and two crossbows later we are packing heat like some kind of western. Each character carrying about 120 shots on them too. Then I went to my haven and took out two scrolls of theft of vitae, since I am well acquainted with the fact that the game only lets me hit that 'you know what' twice with that spell, and then it's out of blood anyway. I pump all experience into Serena's range attack discipline of Plague breath ( yes she needs to brush her teeth ) and then I went hunting Tzimitze. Took me a whopping 13 minutes to clear the whole castle,.. I have gotten quite good at it now that I have done it so many times and then I stood before the door with the big fat ugly on the other side. All kinds of ugliness was waiting for me. I ungrouped everybody so that they didn't try to assist and get themselves killed...... again.

Serena walked up to the door with that sexy little walk that she does and opened the door. There it was. Suffice to say that Serena was not impressed. She blasted that horror with every bit of vitae she could muster, covering the Vohzd in Plague breath. When she went empty,. instead of drinking my private stash, she threw a Theft of Vitae at the Vohzd while standing in the hallway. This gave her a 75% recharge on her blood pool and she started it again,..... wash,.. rinse,.... repeat. Two thefts later and a whole lot of bad breath. Serena was empty. She was glorious. I'm really gonna miss that girl. Then I made certain that the whole party was armed with ballistic attacks and we all stood three abreast in the hallway like some kind of crazy western movie. I timed it this time. 3 straight real time minutes of perpetual volly from the Ivory Bow and two crossbows and that bain of vampiric existance finally dropped. I am so happy that it rotted as fast as it did, because it's big butt was blocking the doorway. Maybe next time I will have Serena put shambling hordes on it and see if I can take it with me to the doorway of the next cinematic. Final Score? Vohzd:0 Christof:1
Vohzd no more. And I didn't even get nailed once... it was a beautiful thing. Thankyou Serena, you will be missed.

The Vozhd is one of the easiest creatures to deal with, IF you have the proper spells. Since it can't come through the door, all you need to do is cast Firestorm, and after several times it will drop dead. If you don't have enough blood to cast 8, 9, or even 10 times, i'd advice using Prison of Ice. You gotta be quick though, in order to cast Prison of Ice succesfully, you'll have to get very close to the Vozhd, but once he's trapped in the ice, he's dead meat.

hey.....a good sword,celerity,fortitude...and u can take it out...by yourself.the rest of the crew can watch (without dramatics and a goddamn tragedy queen)........worked for me

I always found the freeze spell, works the best wether dealing with werewolf or any boss.
