Blindness *sob sob*

Okay... I had to install a Bloodmoon patch about a week ago so I could finish the main quest in Tribunal... and now my Boots of Blinding Speed blind me... I know, I know, they were supposed to do this in the first place, but I always had it so that I could see clearly and not be blind. I've tried putting them on and off about a billion times, but the best I can get it is so that I can barely see. Any suggestions on how to cure blindness or a spell I can buy so I can enchant something to negate the blindness? Thanks..

In the patch, it says something about those boots

Create Resist Magicka spell 100% for two seconds. Cast spell and equip boots before it wears off. Voila - no blindness. (Alternatively, you can enchant an item with the spell.)

... or 2 items/spels, or 3 - just to get 100% resistance for the very moment one's putting the boots on. If you can manage only 50%, it may help anyway because it's only darker and can be compensated by NigtEye, for example.
BTW, 100% short-time magicka resistance fits against every harmfull effect of items, potions including. So, with 100% resistance you may drink mazte, sujama or whatever without any penalty and still gaining the benefits.
Of course, Bretons need only 50% to add, and Orcs - 75%. Altmers may need more - never played one, so i do not remember if there was also weakness to magicka amon the others.

Does this mean my 50% resistant breton is going to be blinded if I install that patch?

In my experience he's going to see all darker, that's all. Half as light as w/o boots. In daylight it makes not that much difference, altogether in dungeon or in dark it may be sort of nuisance.
