Leviathan trigger event (spoilers!)

Does anyone know what specific event triggers the Leviathan meeting, as you go your merry rounds among the various planets? I've been wondering whether it's associated with the number of Star Forge-related planets you've hit, or possibly the number of levels your PC has achieved.

I'm pretty sure the 4th star map (including Dantooine) is the trigger.

I have a feeling it's also Carth-related ... He's the one who keeps talking about Saul destroying his family and all...
Can someone verify this? I had exhausted all NPC dialogue options so I cannot tell; but definitely the Leviathan spawned after I got the fourth map (incl. dantooine).

It is the fourth star map like everyone has said no matter what order you go in.

Just for the be-all-and-end-all answer, for clarification:
It's after you leave the planet where you obtained your 4th Star Map, including the one on Dantooine. You can visit every single planet (including the Yavin space station if you have the PC version) without being interdicted and captured by the Leviathan, so long as your total number of Star Map data cards does not exceed 3.

So best thing to do is... first complete everything all sidequest then get the star-quest @ the last thing to do and then destroy or rescue the galaxy

Um, no.
There *is* no single strategy to get through the game that's better than any other, just as there's no party or character configuration that's best. I was just trying to find out how and when the trigger occurs, since it puzzled me.
