Girdle Of Fortitude

I have equiped Aerie with a girdle of fortitude which is supposed to raise her constitution to 18 once a day.
How do I switch it on? She`s wearing it and no amount of clicking seems to make any difference. Her constitution stays at 9.

Have the belt on Aerie to....
Have you clicked the belt in the use item button??
When i first got the belt i equipped it on Aerie, and pushed the button, but it just said that item was drained, then i slept, then it worked normally...

You should sleep and press the Use Item Ability(F8 button I think)than click in a icon with a picture of the belt....you can only use when you rest if oyu travel days and days and the item will not be recharged.....

I don't think that giving the belt to Aerie is worthing: she already has 16 of Con. so raising to 18 wan't grant her any benefit (no extra hp, being a cleric/mage).
I would give it to a char that has Con lower than 16, if not fighter type, or lower than 18 if fighter type.

are you crazy?aerie only have 9 of constitution.But I don't think it's worth using it.Use some belt of protection against some type of damage....

I mistake Imoen with Aerie for Con, but that doesn't mean for you to be unpolite!!!
Anyway is always worthing to use the girdle, the effect last for long time so you can raise the Con and then switch to another belt.

Hmm..
Well, it's great for any low CON character, or a fighter type with so-so CON. IIRC, Aerie, Viconia, Jaheira, Minsc and Solaufein all do quite nicely with it.
Especially if you have a Bag of Holding (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
Nice effect, lasts all day (more or less)

I don`t know why many people dismiss Aerie as a back line person. She has a strength of 18/50 and a carrying facility of 400.
This is the second highest in my party. I`m trying her with the flail of ages at the moment and she`s doing nicely.

I'm confused. Unless you edited her Aerie only has only 10 Str, not 18/50.

With gauntlets of ogre power, she has a strength of 18/50.

Sorry everbody - I`m guilty of gross exageration - Aeries strength is 18/00 with gauntlets of ogre power.

18/00 actually means 18/100, the str values range from 18/01 (the lowest) to 18/00 (the highest).

Girdlre of Fortitude is designed to put it on for few seconds, turn on CON boost and put it off! Then you give Aerie this belt, which you think is the best and it's OK! I used Daystar (for example) in the same way - only to cast spell, and then change to Angurvadal or something...

In my party Aerie has Crom Faeyr with her and Chain Contingency with Blade Barrier, Regeneration and Sphere of Blades in it and she's the best warrior in my party

As I don't remember Aerie being able to memorize 9th level spells, I presume you're using scrolls in combination with project image or simulacrum for the chain contingency spell ?

In ToB she is able to cast 9th level spells (especially if you have small party).
