Just that. What finished singleplayer player mods for NWN do you like--and more specifically, why? How compatible are they with other NWN mods? And finally, how long do your favorites play?

Penultima - enough said.
D/L all 10 of them, do a search on nwvault.ign.com for stefan gagne or penultima.
HIGHLY reccomend them, best i've ever played. Funny as heck too.

I'll give 'em a try, thanks.
Anybody got other suggestions for good mods to d/l, and why?

Though I've yet to play them myself (hope to start in the next couple days), posters on GameFAQS and NWNVault.ign both mention:
The 5-Part ShadowLords series, which begins sub-par but gets better with each chapter. However the reason to play these is that they are the prequels of:
The DreamCatcher series, four parts, and apparently considered the best player-made modules currently available. Sorry I have no personal experience with them as of yet, but these two series' names are the ones that I've seen most frequently when looking for good modules myself.

Played both Penultima and the Shadow Lords/Dreamcatcher series.
Both solid and best in class - give them a try first Fable and you will have the cream of the crop.

played all mods listed above and liked them.
also really enjoyed the U1, U2, and U3 modules (sinister secret of saltmarsh, danger at dunwater, forgot the title of the third). Anyway, they were created by the man who wrote the original modules back in the 80's. They were fun, hackish and slashish with some story, but they were also modules I DM'ed years back.
The "U" series modules offer a nice twist because some time is spent adventuring underwater.

Have a look at Twilight and Midnight by Rick Burton. They are for paladin only, but are extremely well written and aimed more at RP'ing than simple hack'n'slash.
