Help, I am in the elf tomb in SoU the room that the sperit gave a key to. i get into the pedastal got the cape but cannot get out. I cannot use the ring to get out either. Every route I have tried injures you and teleports you back to the pedastal. How do I get out of this room?

Place the cloak back on the pedestal.
Look really well on which squares the beams fall, search a way on which you DON'T pass on any of those squares, remember it.
Take the cloak, then go the way you have previously remembered. That should get you out.
