Hello everyone,

I was wondering, for the rings and necklaces that don't have anything special, later in the game (im currently in Chapter 2) will there be some way of upgrading them.

Also I was wondering about the broken equipment and gems you find occasionnally and I was wondering if they have any use.

Thanks for your help :)

Junk

Basically you can sell this stuff at ceertain points in the game or it is just useless. At certain points in the game you will need a piece or two of the broken equipment. The gems are worth money some of them also play a role in quest related events, like diamonds in Oswalds ship. At various times you will find specific quest related items that you should old onto, it should be easy to figure out.

If your refering to the iron needed to fix oswalds ship, I suggest freeing up your inventory slot and using the ore you find near the ice temple. Even iron rations will do the trick.

broken armor

I've never found a good use for broken armor, although it is quite valuable. Broken weapons are usually fixed later in the game. Broken Gems? Never ran across them in IWD I. Necklaces, amulets that need no ID are just for trade. Same for rings. A gold ring is just that; a gold ring. In IWD I you needed a lot of gold in the beginning but didn't have any, yet in the last 3rd you had tons of gold but nothing to spend it on. Another tip: If you run across some really cool arrows or bullets, hold on to them, as you will probably need them for a tuff fight. If IWD II is anything like I, you won't be able to buy alot of the cool stuff when you need it, or cool stuff will be useless against the enemy at hand.

Hmm, those comments from Icewind Dale I were not really relevant for Icewind Dale II. In II no broken armour or weapons can ever be fixed or sold for very much.
