Mission's Brother - HELP: I think I'm stuck

Post by jjl2002 »

I've had this game since Christmas, and am totally addicted to it. I love the RPG aspects of the game.

I think I'm stuck in one of the quests though, but not sure.

I didn't unlock the Sidequest for Mission's Brother until AFTER I freed the Jawas from the Sandpeople.

I returned to the Sandpeople's Enclave several times after being assigned the Quest for Mission Brother, but I can't find him anywhere.

I've already talked to the Czerca Rep in Anchorhead to confirm that Griff was taken prisoner by the Sandpeople. I also talked to the Sandpeople Chieftain who said I could take Griff with me, but I can't find the bugger anywhere!

Am I screwed as far as this quest goes? Also, I should have unlocked another quest by now (Canderous and Juhani), but neither are getting assigned to me in any spaceport. I'm wondering if I'm totally screwed because I have to finish the quest for Griff before I can unlock the other quests (just a theory, so please confirm either way).

Thanks much!

You don't have to complete the quest for Griff before you get other NPC quests - you may just be walking around the event trigger in the spaceport (seems a bit unlikely to me, though).

But if Griff isn't in the cell directly opposite the one where the Jawas were being held, then the quest might be broken. Again, this seems unlikely, as I don't think quests are handled like that, but I couldn't really tell you for sure without testing it myself.

I got the same problem. Only way to fix it is to restart before freeing the Jawas, I guess. If someone has a hint howto solve this problem, I'd be very thanksful

You talk with Mission enough to where she will tell you about her brother, Griff. Then walk around one of the landing ports( especially behind the Ebon Hawk then go out front again or just go into and back out again of the Ebon Hawk)to trigger the talk with Lena. :)

I've noticed that the character sidequests are buggy. One game I theoretically unlocked all the sidequests, but none of them would actually trigger when I went to the spaceport with the right character in tow, except, for some reason, the one relating to Bastila.

I've had this happen before, but never on this scale.

Yes, I just noticed the other day I tryed to trigger the mission on Mission's brother and I had already talked to her enough. So I went to the spaceport on Tattoine and it didn't trigger.
Maybe it doesn't work if you try to get the quest on Tattoine. Even though Bastila's mother mission I unlocked on Tattoine.

Personally,i think doing Mission's side quest is a total waste of time,so you should not worry much about not completing it.

sidequests

I'm almost sure sidequests are triggered when you get to a certain level. I went to many (if not all) spaceports and exited with each NPC to trigger quests and nothing happened. Then when I got to a certain level and suddenly the sidequests were triggered.
spoiler
Spoiler
The earliest sidequest appers to be Mission's brother then Zalbar, Juhani, Jolie and Carth.
it is possible to screw up some sidequests, esp. Mission's and Carth's.
