Bug Problem!

Has anybody else been having problems with this bug? It is a problem with the hit points given at level up. All of my characters have charisma 18. Also, the game is on easy difficulty (thus insuring max hit point rolls at level up). HOWEVER, maybe every third level gain, my characters will get only 1 or 2 hit points at level up. THIS WOULD MEAN I ROLLED A NEGATIVE NUMBER, and then the charisma HP bonus made it positive again. This has happened for me on 2 different computers, before AND after the latest patch. Also, it happens on every single difficulty level. How the hell can I possibly get 1 HP at level up for an 18 charisma character??? Especially with the game on easy difficulty, which is SUPPOSED to insure that every HP roll is the maximum??? This problem must be affecting others, since it has happened for me on 2 different computers. Does anybody know how to fix this?

after level 9 characters only receive 1-3 hitpoints per level (class-dependent).

IIRC,charisma has no effect on the amount of HPs you'll get

You mean Constitution (CON) 18.
Charisma (CHA) is how good looking you are and how likeable (hence the Dwarven -1 [-2 in 3rd Edition] to CHA - Dwarves being sour and all that).
Every class except mage stops receiving new Hit Dice per level at level 9. Wizards stop at level 10.
After that level, youreceive different amounts of Hit Points depending on your class.
Example: once a fighter becomes level 9, he/she has receive 9d10 + CON bonus.
When he/she reaches level 10, they will only receive 10 Hit Points per level after that.
Fighters/Rangers/Paladins/Barbarians = +3 HP after level 9
Mages/Sorcerers* = +1 HP after level 10
Theives/Bards = +2 hp after level 9
Clerics/Druids/Monks* = +2 HP after level 9
*= Sorcerers and monks and Barbarians are 3rd Edition classes, and no such rules exist for them in BG2. The above are only guestimates.
