do they really mean anything? are they based on a pre-specified language from a DnD campaign?

the only one i can make sense of is the healing one
Vita Mortis Kaya (Gaya?)
Life, Death, and (i think) spirit

Most of 'em, at least, don't make any sense, and you'll even find the same words being used on occasion for entirely different spells.

I wonder how many people have sat there flailing their arms around saying the words to invisibility....

*Puts hands down and shuts up* :D ;)

I think that they have based them on real world words, but muddled them and changed them. They don't sound real to me.

Haha, you native english speakers sure are funny :p
The healing spells go "vita mortis cario" or "life death flesh".
Divination spells go "scio didici ecco" most of the time and mean "I know, I divine (as in guess), I see". All the words are (derived from) ancient Latin.
