Detect evil

Listed as a level 1 spell, has been this way since bg1 but goes to level2.

even at the spell selection screen upon making a new character, its in the level 2 for selection but listed as level 1.

Is this a level 1 or a level 2 spell? Like is it simply a problem with the description or a prob with the spell's level?

Oddly enough i did a fresh install, then tob, patched tob, put in the fixpac, then the language fix (forgot it) so put the fixpac over it again. i dunno if they are supposed to correct this, or if its something that was missed in the fixes / langauge pacs. Just curious really what its supposed to be, ill just fix the thing myself if i know what its supposed to be.

In my opinion you should be able to cast it how many times you want because it sux but in bg1 I think it was a lvl 2 spell and in bg2 a lvl 1 spell.....

its actually a quite useful spell...

set your game to high feedback, and unless you've played the game several times thru, or if you just installed a new mod, casting the spell will give you a good idea of how many enemies are in an area, due to life scanning properties, because most enemies in the game are evil...

Knowing what are the enemies sux you can justsave and reload or use detect evil from a paladin but waste a spell in it?I will never do it...
