Hi All

I have a level four wizard that has three level 2 slots for spells. thing is one of these slots is a golden box. When I picked the spells at level up none of the spells were golden (they were on char creation) so now I have a golden box but no golden spell. I have levelled up again since and still nothing is shimmering gold. So how do I know which spells fit in the box.
I've never realy been sure why there are some gold spells anyway.

Hope someone can help, a whole spell slot with no spell, such a waste.

While on the spell topic a few other questions

- why cant I make an identify scroll, I hate buying identify and its a waste of spell slots, but identify isn't on the scribe scroll list.

- what does dismiss spells mean/do on the radial menu

- is it possible to learn spells from scrolls, if so how.

Instead of retyping a bunch of stuff, try taking a look at the thread titled "Level Advancement Issues" (lower on this first page) started by SexyPaladin. I think that one might answer some of your questions.

The only other question that I know the answer to is the "dismiss spells" question. Some of the spells you cast last for a certain amount of time, and this allows you to end the spell before the time is up. For example, when you summon a creature, it stays with you for a set length of time. The dismiss spells option would allow you to send it away before that time had passed.

I also know that you can craft a wand of Identify, but I don't know about scribing scrolls as I only play sorcerers, no wizards. I like the freedom too much to play a wizard.
