The BEST weapon must be Carsomyr! After killing the red Dragon it's just babyfood

I like crow feyr more b/c you then can dual it with the celestial fury or maybe even foa +5 *evil grin*

To bad it's Paladin's only, though - I would never consider playing a pally myself, and Keldorn seldom makes it into my parties. Of course, it's kind of nice for Bards in ToB...

What's wrong with playing a Paladin? I've always made them the cornerstone of my parties.

What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

I almost ever do mages or sorcerors but when I don't do them I never use pally because it's boring playng with them.....and I always solo so Keldorn is not a possibility so carsomyr in my opinion is not the best weapon. The Staff of the Magi is the best..

Well have to be crom faeyr.... can do awesome damage, with the strengt bonus

SoM sure is a nice weapon and so is Carsomyr but overall I think FoA is the best weapon. You get it early and because of the upgrades you keep it all the way and towards the end it just might be the most powerful weapon in the game. The damage from FoA+5 is just incredible.

Also the slow ability is great with my solo archers I always use it to slow the enemy and run........

Clever tactic! Have you actually soloed the whole game with an archer?

I have soloed 3 times with archers...in my opinion is the best after soreror and pure mage.....

I have never soloed an archer but once I played through with six archers hehe. That was fun and actually quite powerful. You walk in all hidden and then FIRE! Creatures not immune to ranged damage didn't last long.
Might have to try a solo archer, I guess boots of speed are essential
I like swash/mage and blade best as solo characters. F/M/T is of course also nice.

try this guide to solo a archer...use the gensen bow it's far better than any other bow in the game........I always use it.Flail of the Ages helps a lot and use the entagle spell..
Try to solo with this chars sorceror,ranger dual lvl 9 to cleric,pure mage(read elmonster guide),halfing barbarian(very nice bilieve or not)and some others.....I have soloed them it's a lot fun....but why you use blade?skald is far better in my opinion.......

EDIT:try kensai mage using staff I have soloed one and I get almost all the best items to use in less than 3 hours it's overpowering....

Okay thanks. Will read it when I get back home. Blade is superior to Skald since when you get Enhanced bard song it is better than the skald song and as a blade you have good dual wielding and offensive and defensive spin aswell. Your pickpocket skill is high and your lore sufficient.
Barbarian I have soloed, actually a halfling that used sling and darts mostly. He had the reflection shield and outran everyone hehe.
Sorceror is very good I agree but you should try the swashbuckler dualed to mage at level 10. Very solid character!
I soloed a kensai aswell and believe it or not he was pretty powerful, only downside is that he can't use Vhailors helm so those prot from magic scrolls were very precious.

my halfing barbarian used two handed swords and gensen bow....I have tried the swashbuckler cleric but I hated it.I will try the swashbuckler/mage but I just don't like the unability to backstab from swashbucklers...I love the 7x backstab from my solo assassin hheheh...

Did you equip arrows with Short Bow of Gesen? That makes it very powerful and the arrows don't go so slow anymore either. Would be a nice sight to see a halfling pull out a big two-handed sword hehe.
The swashbuckler cleric is a pretty sweet character actually. But I prefer the half-orc cleric thief, now that is a utility character! I haven't soloed with one though.
Yeah no backstab but you get halfdecent combat skills as a swashbuckler/mage.
Yeah the 7x backstabs is a killer, espeically if it is also poisoned hehe.

I only equip arrows +2 when I need it.I like to see the spear in the air......My archer have 5 attacks per round with gensen bow....with the improved haste I can have 9 attacks it's nice to see all the spears in the air..............

Hehe nice for you but not for the dragon...

I always liked the dagger of the Star since it would allow my backstabbing thieves to go invisible for free and get another hit in. It doesn't do as much damage as a longsword would, but it is certainly respectable enough.

I started the archer solo today. I tried once a long time ago and gave up, I dont know why cause like you said, it is fun and pretty powerful. You really appreciate stealth and oil of speed. Stealth may actually be one of the best abilities in the game. Maybe a game with 4 characters all with high stealth?
I took out the copper coronet slavers without getting hit at all really. Turned back to the old reflecting shield and sling tactic, very handy against ranged opponents. Against melee fighters its hit and run all the way, I cant wait to get whirlwind and smite
