Bag of plenty

Post by Bruce Lee »

I am currently trying out the archer solo. Doing okay but I have serious lack of inventory space so I decided to head of to watchers keep for the case, quiver and bag of plenty. However I cannot find the bag... isn't that at watchers keep? There is a cabinet I cannot open but I don't think it is there anyway.
Any ideas... I think I really need this item.
Btw I did a search but couldn't find any location references.

Up to the North-East of where you started the dungeon in (And encountered Bodhi) there is a room with a Stone(?) Golem. The Bag of Holding is in one of the containers in that room. Beware of traps. :)

Sorry! My bad. Had I read into the question better I would have caught that. :p

Watcher's Keep only contains the Quiver of Plenty - for arrows. And if you're looking for the unlimited ammo pack for Slings, you want the Bag of Plenty in Yaga-Shura's lair. :)

Aha okay. Thanks. I am only level 11 so I have some way to go before I get to Yaga shura hehe. Will have to do with bullets then. Put some profs in x-bows perhaps aswell.
Cheers

If you have the bonus merchants, you can get the Sling of Everhard (from Joluv in the Copper Coronet) which does not require ammo. It is rather expensive, though.

Yeah I know it is expensive but great. I have now left for the underdark and I bought it before I left. However it does more damage if you equip bullets aswell, but now I have quite a few atleast.

ease of use mod allows unlimited stacking for bullets, bolts and arrows...works great, limited only by strength... ;) :p

Most ammo has weight 0, only throwing daggers and throwing axes have an actual wieght.

well... actually I think that the best SLING is the Sling of Seeking cuase you get to add your strength dmg to it... and
Quiver of plenty AND Case of plenty may be found in Watcher's Keep.
Bag of Plenty is in the Marching Mountains...

I have the infinite stacking installed but it can still get crowded if you are a solo archer.
Actually all slings add strength bonus to damage. Sling of everard equipped with bullets does most damage of all sling.

Soloers

For my money, any soloer should summon a bag of holding. The inventory management subgame is unfun, though ease-of-use helps a lot.

Yeah I agree. I was travelling back and forth to adventures mart where I put stuff away that I didn't use for the moment. Pretty boring waiting for the loading of areas all the time.
But now I have the bag so now it is okay. I seem to fill it up quickly though. Don't like to the cool stuff even if I am not going to use it. Maybe I'll put Carsomyr and such in my cabin hehe.

i looked at the stats for sling of avoreen, and its +4 to thaco, and +4 to damage...i know this topic has been discussed before, but i really think if you had ammo, the sling from watcher's keep had the most damage...everard is +2 to damage... ;)

Actually I kind of like the challenge of prioritizing quests so that you don't run out of inventory space, but still don't have to head for home to often.

Especially tricky is the first "random" encounter where you get a load of tasty items that will disappear if you don't take them out of the alley. I usually make it a point not to leave any map without plenty of inventory space until I've met this encounter, which forces me to think ahead and resist the temptation to become a packrat. The Renfeld encounter can present similar challenges because he weighs so much. If you don't have enough strength, you might have to drop your armor in order to pick him up.

Yeah arvoreen is +4 to damage, erienne is +5 to damage and everard is +2, but everard also has its own bullets so everard is infact 1d4+2 to damage. So maximum damage is higher with everard and bullets but average is higher with erienne( not much though) and equal between arvoreen and everard.
Erienne can create 5 +4 bullets per day which I guess counts in its favour.
Erienne might be better but everard is handier and easier to come by :D
