Well, they're tough....
Greater wolfweres have two main complications:
1) High regeneration
2) High magic resistance
So the trick is to kill them FAST with non-spell type damage. Pull them over traps or something and then sic heavy damage (backstabs are good here) - if you try to grind them down over time, their regeneration will really wear you out.
As much as possible try to split the various wolfweres out singly also - attack at the limits of vision from invisibility with a bow or something & use door tricks, etc. if you need. Spells are going to be problematic, unless you can lower their resistance fast.
Good luck!

Thanks alot
So they regenerate, I thought so, thats why I attack em alot and they never die and they still are uninjured, THANKS ALOT!!! I'm gonna try another different strategy, maybe a few traps, hold them and get em one at a time. Cool thanks!!!

skeleton warriors, haste and mass invisibility chews them up and spits them out...
urm...if you're naughty, and some of your fighters are high enough level so they will get high level abilities soon, pick deathblow...

i picked them off one by one where i could. Backstab worked a treat along with haste and surrounding them a hacking them to pieces.

With a little timing ... luring them into the room in the north (iirc) one by one, closing the door and killing them works fine. Killing them fast in order to avoid regeneration is the crucial point here. They're one of the toughest fights in the game imho.

Generally if you can use traps etc... it helps to concentrate on them one @ a time... and though they have high magic res greater malison followed by emotion or some status affecting spell works more often than not... Even casting the spell without malison takes a couple down/confused/etc. So dont disregard magic entirely

almost forgot, sunfire...ignores magic resistance...

I don't think they're magic resistant (not sure about that though), but they can take a lot of damage. I remember using skull traps and delayed blast FB to the hilt in that tunnel.
A few spike traps would be the ultimate answer here, but w/o ToB installed and with probably a big party there's no way to have any at this point.
Store you party in above mentioined room, soften the weres up with some area effect damage spells, run back, close the door behind the first that comes into the room and kill it. Then repeat the process.

FYI
They're 50% resistant to acid, fire, cold, electricity, magic, magic fire and magic cold (gotta love SK).
But punk_blaze did the critical thing - splitting them out and hacking them to death fast. You can get them a variety of ways, but that's the core of most successful strategies.
Good gaming!

thanks alot to all of you, I'm sure that'll help. But not now, I just got the game, I got to that part with multiplayer (by myself). I did 6 characters. But I heard you can romance some NPcs and talk with them and theres more sidequests, so I restarted the game, I'm in the slums now so I should be at fikraags soon. Plus the last time I played I had some other guys people and they were at level 21 so it was pretty easy and I wanna play the honest 1rst player way. The solo game is far more interesting.
Again, Thanks to you all!!!

Don't visit Firkraag too early in the game and make sure you have Daystar with you. The weres ain't the only critters hanging around in the area.

Daystar..
Daystar is a what, not a who. It's not necessary, but it certainly is handy. Highlight details below for spoiler
Daystar is a sword which is very useful against certain monsters. You can obtain it form a rather nasty fight back in Athakatla. You probably won't have it if you do the Fierkraag stuff early.

Well, if you can't win in the fight for Daystar, you don't stand a chance against some inhabitants chez Firkraag, especially the wolfweres. Daystar is easy prey, so to speak. It's not a must though, but it makes things a lot easier, not only there. It's probably the most powerful specialized weapon in the game and it's got a brother that comes as a helmet.

Go to the Crooked Krane in the City Gate District and theres a secret door like the one in the Sea Bounty's tavern in the Docks district. Go in W/ your guy invisible and go grab the sword. It has a great ability to use sunray killing undead easilly. I killed hte lick eventully and i was all level 7/8 so its not too hard. The problem is Firrafig with my small party. Im not up to the Windspear Hills yet. At the moment all i need to do is the Mae'Var,Shadow thieves,Umar Hills,Windspear and im all done.
To kill the lich is not too hard
I think he uses gate, that Lvl8 spell which goes everywher in yellow smoke and kills u. I just got behind the counter W/ my archer and my guys With POE on and eventully the lich's POE wore off.
I don't really come across werewolves often but i really used all my guys make a circle and try Aerie and Nalia W/ MAgic MIssle

The spell is Abu-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting (ADHW to it's friends), it can be defended against (though probably not at level 7 or 8). Gate summons some kind of lame-o demon or other. ADHW is a huge fave of mine - party friendly, too
I'll dispute the idea that if you can't get Daystar, you can't clear the Windspear dungeon - well, most of it
. I did the dungeon except you-know-who quite early in one of my earlier iterations, and with a pretty lame party, too. We just had a bit rougher time of it

Spoilers (highlight)
The lich is not too intelligent. His gated demon will attack and kill him if you protect yourself with protection from evil. The lich can cast Meteor Storm tough, but if you enter his room with only few people first, you may find a save corner to hide. Don't leave the room while the Pit Fiend's alive in case it's hostile, he will follow you and trash the inn.
Daystar saves you from vampire and other undead problems in the city and anywhere else, that's why it rocks big time. Anyway, Windspear Hills is a tough dungeon, a low level party will not survive it with or without Daystar. The group that attacks you if you enter the map is a good indicator if you have a chance though. You should do some easier quests like Nalia's Keep, the Shadow Temple and the slavers first.
