Drwo in da Hood... i mean underdark

Hiya! ive beaten SOA once alrdy so this is all old news. but i was wondering wat path i should take when infiltrating the Drow City. when i used my first char to beat the game i gave the real eggs to the dragon after betraying the drow by placing fake eggs as an offering. if i recall u can decide NOT to betray them, i am playing SOA again and not my new TOB because im trying to take my char in a dif direction. so, ne 1 got sum suggestions fo my char in the Drow City?

Simple:

If you are a good char you give the eggs to Adalon and betray the Drow.


If you are Evil you can give the eggs to the Demon.

Dont know what path you get when u give the eggs to the Matron Mother, Phaere or just keep it for ureself though. Just prepare to face a really angry Dragon when giving the eggs to the Demon

I have been doing the quests asan undercover drow in the Drow City for a while and a problem just occured! i was waiting for sumbudy on the enterence platform when the tank guy talked to me and told me to assasinate thise girl (i wann say.... Quile?) any way whenever i go in the building they cast a fear spell on Imoen (and sumtimes on me) and then after like 30 seconds they cast sum death spell on Imoen! and i dont wnat to lose her because im trying to stick to the plot. when u send in help messages plz remember i have limited resources because im stuck in the underdark drow city. if u have questions about my chars or what items i have so that u can suggest a tactic plz email me at DashBlood13@hotmail.com if u dont have anything that iwould need to answer just send a message on the Thread. PS do u even have to assasinate the girl or can i just get out o the Drow city b4 the big tank announces it?

i believe the fish guy will squeal on you after a few days, so you have to kill her...

use remove fear, and deathward imoen...

they are using horror, or symbol fear on you...remove fear or resist fear, the spell will protect you...

deathward the party members who die when they cast symbol death on you...it will protect them...

It depends on your alignment in the game. i am not sure on what happens when u r nuetral but what was said by skrye was true for the other two alignments.

PLZ help!!!!!!!

i alrdy set up a thread bout this but it wasnt very promising unfortuenently. Once i beat rayic gethras (the cowled agent in the docks) i walked out of the building with my Mage/Mage and suddenely by spell square when brown (as in i cant use it)
and b4 that from the begining to rayic gethras i could hit people so my chars aim was rly bad! (even wid hacked stats) but when i left rayic Gethras' house i could hit again, but not cast spells!

I am in the underdark so dont think its temporary.

@DashGore, please don't put up threads asking people to respond to you directly by email. It's kinda discourteous to the boards, which you're using to get an answer. Who knows, the responses might be of use to somebody else.

underdark BAD MOVE

i just discovered a BAD MOVE in the underdark for the first time (as in I have never done it, but mayb u hav) when i was supposed to steal the eggs instead i want to the Matron Mother and told her about the betrayal it didnt end well! the traitor died, the demon was summoned and the eggs were NOWHERE to be found. and to top it all off, the demon could see my true form and he uncovered my secret. If u wanna do this just for fun remember these things....

Have a save rdy b4 u go to matron mother
the demon is invicable(literally, no weapons effect im)
the eggs are like eaten or sumding by the demon immedietly
u do dis thing at ur own risk

i am sad because when i try to steal the eggs in the Underdark every single person in the Drow city turns against me! even the girl who put me up to the job! and to top it off! i cant get out of the city because the matrone mother sealed em (remember?)*fyi if sum1 here has found a way out of this when everyone IS hostile to dem, i suggest when u are fighting gaurds, kill matron mother and take here Gorgon plate +3 it is drow but is so strong can exist in sunlight! read its descript* I have tried to get out of city an stuff like 12 times and it nvr works (hmmm mayb i should try to do sumding different each time.....naw....)

It is annoying

when i beat the game with my mage it annoyed my alot that they placed the BEST SWORD IN THE GAME at the end area! when u fight like ONCE more! i dont remember the name of the sword but its gaurded or sumthing by the djinni. that tix me off ne budy agree? say it loud say it proud!!!

It's an OK sword, but not the best in the game. The STR bonus rocks, but that's about it.

oh my bad..... i use Banshee's walkthrough and whoever made the hell guide said one of d best swords in da game...... syr bout that.

There are several ways of handling this situation, you can betray a range of different people.

The demon can be beaten, he will have some magical barriers you need to remove and +4 or better weapons from memory (use the drow stuff).

Now, when you kill the demon, there are spolit eggs left from memory.

You then need to get out of the drow city, and when you try to leave the underdark the silver dragon will attack you.

This is another very difficuly battle, but once again possible and she has one very nice item which is part of another quest, that will allow you to build perhaps the nicest item in the game for an evil character.

hmmm magical barries says u? hmmm im not so smart bout using spells so do u think i could just bash his skull in through his ***?

ima try to keep attacking him over and over....my char is nuetral good...dus that mean i cant do bad side choice? and how would i get out of the city after i desomated an entie population? when i get the eggs would the doors be open?.

@DashGore, I'm getting headaches from the private messages asking why you're spamming up the main page of SoA with many threads devoted to one problem: the Underdark. Consequently, I'm moving all seven of 'em altogether. Please, take a look around, see how things are done. By all means, ask what questions you need; that's what we're here, for. But remember board courtesy, and how people use the forums to everybody's advantage. Thanks.

PS: One other thing. Putting up a thread labelled HELP ME OR ELSE, while amusing, is not the best way to inform the casual reader about its contents. Please give some idea of what help you need in a thread title. You'll get more responses, that way.

Okay. First of all the demon is not invincible. I'd say it is rather weak, weaker atleast than the balor you killed to get the gem.
I whacked it with my level 17 solo swashbuckler but that doesn't help you of course. He will fall in melee however. When stealing the eggs you need to kill the two guards at the door. Go hidden up to the door, kill the guards. Open the door, hide again open the chest and pause the game, switch eggs, hide and unpause and leave.
About Quile, the aboleth can be told off. You can tell him that he will leave you alone or you will expose him. The better option if you are looking for xp is to kill quile, there you also get a plus 4 weapon, the boneblade. I can see how you struggle if you can't cast spells. I have no idea what you have done to your character. Maybe you can post the character with the problem here so someone can have a look at him with SK.
