Morrowind Issues

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this game. Had I know about it sooner it would have been the 1st game I bought instead of the 10th. Despite the epic calibre of the game there are issues. I started with the standard, platinum hits, XBOX edition then upgraded to the Game of the Year Edition. In this version they includded the two expansion packs, Bloodmoon and Tribunal plus added health meter for baddies during combat -- a nice and much needed addition. A few things that should have been addressed...
1) General game stability... Mine crashes about once every 3-4 hours.
2) Excessive disk access... seems to go to the CD alot more that the old version.
3) Lag during complex situations... Just when I start to fight the game usually can't handle it and has to pause momentarity to 'think'
4) Characters tend to stand 'right in the F'ing way' in the center of halls and doorways, making it difficult and sometimes impossible to get around them. This is very annoying.
5) Even if you're wearing full battledress armor with a helmet that obscures your face, people and even baddies still know who you are!
6) Organization of items... when you have 20 scrolls, 30 spells, and dozens of potions, magic armor weapons, ingredients, picks it can be very tedious and time consuming to continually have to scroll through the massive list. There should be separate menus for different categories of items (ie: ingredients, scrolls, potions, etc...) Also, when you can equip a scroll from the main equip screen and if you equip a non-constant effect item you still have to select it in the scrollable list of spells, rings, etc... Kinda redundant. They should take a look at KOTOR or D&D Heros, Their menus are simple and effecient.
7) Since magic and thievery are jsut as important as fighting there should be popup menus to switch between a potion, scroll, spell, weapon etc... It would be alot quicker.
Am I out of line? Are their work arounds? Like I said, I'm not dissing as this is my new favorite game but it could be elevated from great to epic with a few edits.
