After literally days of work, I've finally finished this portrait of a Half-Elven Bard (or any other class really, but I'm gonna do my usual Bard...).
So, who's the handsome model, you ask? Why, it's your favorite (and mayhaps only) vampiric lawyer of course! Now, check it out and please, this time, give me some feedback, so I know what to improve.

Forgot to tell you, you may want to lower both Brightness and Contrast of the portraits a bit before putting them in the portrait folder.

OK, the portraits don't look the same at all ingame as in Photoshop. I'll fix a few things and post new versions on Saturday ('cause tomorrow is gaming night with pizza and beer with some guys from work - me and my nearest collegue got beaten badly on Beach Spikers last time, now it's time for revenge!)

Dare we ask of the results for NOT doing so?

its very good! although the hair at the back doesnt look like it belongs. Maybe you could try having a bit more of it or have a fe wisps coming round the head.

For not changing it, or for not putting them in the portrait folder? The second is preferable to the first actually...

You have no idea! Wherever I go, it feels crowded...

I'm gonna start working on a portrait of my girlfriend next, I believe you might like her more...

OK, final adjustments made. It is strange that you need to lower Brightness and contrast so much in order to to make the portraits look as they belong in the game. Anyway, I have also widened the portrait 10 %, giving me a more square form of the head. You'll find that all NPCs in the game really have (abnormal?)square heads if you have a look... Finally I have corrected the eyes (making them a little less white), added another layer of shadows and rearranged the hair somewhat, hopefully making it more natural.

Wow, you are really good with Photoshop.
You captured my amazement.
I wanted to say that in the first one your skin was a bit to white. Or, at least, it looked like it didnt belong on the rest of the body. But you already corrected that in the last version.
The only remark I have, is that the forehead is indead a bit to large...

And the small one. Feedback is as always most welcome!

The picture is pretty decent.
Decent, as in, it doesnt look quite as good as ure former one......
But it's still alot better then I could ever do.
As for feedback. Maybe you should show a bit more of your girfriends face. We can barely see half of it, due to the sideway picture, plus the orange hair and her hood...
You might want to make a tad more of a realistic look....since it has more of a comic air around it, it looks as if everything is drawn (if that was ure purpose, well congrats

), but a more "clear" view would IMO improve the portrait...
Just my 2 cents, but Im sure many dont agree with me...

Thanks Sytze!
I'm actually after the "drawn" look, in the sense like all the NPC portraits are drawn. Was that how you meant?
I'll probably go for a more clear view next time. The original photo I used this time had it's limitations, so I thought Edwin's hood the best alternative...

That was pretty much what I ment yes...sorry for the strange way of giving some feedback
In your own portrait I could see, that it was a human face I was looking at (while it was still looking like an NPC portrait), but this time it felt like you had drawn a portrait of you gf instead of using a photo...

Ahh...I see, I already wondered why you had such a covered portrait this time compared to your former one. Cause your face was very clear with no shades or covers at all.

Finished the new portrait of my gf (she wants to play a Ranger her first run through BG2). So, Sytze, what do you think?
