Trouble on the Leviathan

I decided to have Mission bail me out this time around (used Juhani first game), but I'm a little stumped. I grabbed the Stealth Field Generator from the contraband container near where Mission escapes, but I can't get into stealth mode. The button just isn't there. This is obviously a problem, since Mission isn't very well equipped to deal with lots of combat. Am I just missing something here?
