Many Cheers for the mod developers (possible spoilers)

I'm not sure if this has been done in a thread before, but I wanted to say that I think we all owe a lot of thanks and acknowledgement to the many people out there who continue to breathe life into SoA/ToB.

I have recently reinstalled the game and this time round I downloaded "Unfinished Business," and "Chloe." I have also played Solaufein and Kelsey (both of which are awesome IMO), and there are more I would like to try.

It is almost like experiencing the game for the first time. When I was playing last night, I almost doubled up laughing as my party embarked on Minsc's special quest (courtesy of "Unfinished Business")... and again when Minsc professed his 'admiration' for Chloe... LMAO!!! :D :D :D

I don't think I'm alone here, when I state just how much I value the efforts of those individuals who spend considerable free time creating projects such as this... all without payment.

This is a thread to dedicated to mentioning favourite parts of the many mods out there, and to their creators.

Many cheers to them all! Image

Yes, well done and thank you to ANYONE who spends enough time and effort into making a Mod. Personally, I have the attention span of a goldfish and would never be able to put myself through making one. :D

I also downloaded Unifinished Business, and the add-in quests are great. It's a shame Minsc's quest didn't make the original game cut, but Icelus and his posse have made it avaliable to us. Thumbs up, folks. :)

And Ascention is just a blast to play on Insane difficulty. Gromnir killed me a total of six times before I finally came up with a descent tactic, and Illasera was no longer a wimpy beginner fight.

Kelsey is an awesome spellcaster. I didn't take him through the entire game, but he was incredibly well written. It's apparent that a lot of effort went into him, so good work, guys. :)

We all love you guys. :D

I completly agree with the two of you and I have not much to add.
So while most things have already been said, I wish to thank a few people in person: Weimer, JC, Icelus and Bri.

I especially like the new NPC's and the extended quests.

Glad someone started this thread so we can show are appreciation :)

I know this is the SoA forum but I'd like to add that I'm absolutely and totally in love with the bg1tutu mod. Like dragon wench said, it's almost like I'm playing the game again for the first time.

I'm in the offical alpha test group for delainey mod, and have signed up for alpha and beta groups for imoen romance(tob), harvey, bg2 refinements...

i've also unofficially participated in the public release beta for imoen romance, solafein, check the bodies and others...

its important to participate!!! a lot of people here have beta tested and alpha tested and provided feedback and support for their favorite mods...it is important to participate, if only to show support to the authors...the authors primary motivation to continue to spend their own time and effort in creating fine mods is our comments, and our continued support!!!

i encourage everyone who reads this, and haven't shown support to the authors to register in the appropriate forums, and at least post some

"attaboy!!!" or "attagirl!!!" comments!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I wouldnt mind beta-testing for some Mod's.

But Im not the best English speaker....so language flaws will probably be missed by me.
Plus I have no idea what to do against a bug, since I suck at editing and messing with globals...

Yes!

Tactics, Ascension, Ease-of-Use, Spell-50, Item Upgrades, Solaufein & Tashia are all super-duper (I haven't gone through with Kelsey or Valen yet, but I will)

MODs= "TEH WIN1111111"

Support your local modder ;)

that's really not what's important...most authors will quite understand and be completely able to work with testers who don't feel comfortable messing around with stuff...all they really ask for are people who love the game, and are willing to play the mods, and test stuff, and look for bugs...

and if you don't feel your english is not the best...well, that's actually a great thing, you could help participate in the translation projects, or help edit translations.. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Hmm, you know, I wouldnt mind trying to beta-test some Mod's.

Thanx Harbinger, I've noticed you have applied :)

I can also suggest to keep an eye on RtW, for when the team will need testers again. Even though timings with that one are always a mistery, testing it will be surely fun ;)
