As my title thread explains, when i cast identify on magic items, 100 gp is deducted from my party's chache each time. So what is the use of identify?
I have already patched v1.00.
Please help. Losing money this way sucks.

It's not a bug, the material component of the Identify spell is a 100 gp pearl. Instead of making you find pearls, the game simply deducts the gold.
The only advantage of casting an Identify as opposed to getting your stuff identified in a shop is convenience, you can do it immediately w/o having to find a town.

I'm afraid you are wrong
This time round i picked up 8 pearls into my inventory and when i cast my identify spell, the same thing happens : no pearl is used up, 100 gp is used each time instead. It is a bug!
You gave the developers of this game too much credit they don't deserve. Heck now they are looking for volunteers to test their beta patch version 2.0 for free. I thought they are supposed to have a team of game testers under their payroll, but they are not Bioware after all. Sad.

Nope, not a bug
Actually, DraySkullan is correct. The spell takes a 100 GP pearl as a component. However, the game does not take any pearls in your inventory into consideration. It simply takes 100 GP out of your horde to pay for the spell component; it does this for any spell with components costing over 99 GP. See point number 4 on page 149 of the instructions under the heading "Changes."
It isn't a bug, just an easier way for the programmers to deal with expensive spells. I know that I wouldn't want to deal with tracking the spell components for EVERY spell that each of my spellcasters knew. In my opinion, this just makes it easier.
I hope that clears it up for you.
