How do I open the door in the temple sewers that lead to the Mind Flayer area?

How do I open the door in the temple sewers that lead to the Mind Flayer area?

Grab one of those mind control circlets, and use it on one of the mind flayers. They should respawn continuously in some of the rooms. Charm one, and use it to open the door.

The original poster isn't talking about getting out of the Mind Flayer Dungeon in the Underdark. He is talking about getting to the Mind Flayer Dungeon in the Sewers!
You have to get the key at Windspear Castle. I don't know what's the exact location, but it's there!

the key for the sewers is on Tazok in the Windspear hills.
