Boris, my Cha. 5 Half-Orc PC, is currently romancing Vici, courtesey of the "Allow inter-racial romance" mod & the Ring of Human Influence. Now -

1) If he ever takes the Ring off, will she immediately drop him?

2) Is it true that she will inevitably dump him, coz s/he's Evil? Also, is it possible to "redeem" V. just by saying the right things, even if the PC himself is Evil? So far, B. has been very gentle & understanding with V., basically coz he's completely smitten & utterly gagging for it!

3) Just a bit of speculation. In the Upstairs of the Copper Coronet, B. went off with one of the girls for, er, companionship. Afterwards, V. made comments about being pleased to see that he was a "real man", type of thing. Now, I later restored & didn't do that bit again, but I'm curious. Did she really mean what she said? My guess would be that the sub-text was actually "Hope you enjoyed yerself, for ye're never getting anywhere near me, ye filthy slattern!". But maybe Drow really aren't like human women...?

1. No. The ring has nothing to do with the romance.

2. She won't dump him, meaning if you make the right (dialogue-)choices while romancing she won't dump him. In my experience, showing her some understanding about her rotten past is the best way to go.
Eventually you get the chance to redeem her, but not until ToB.

3. I think Viccy is the only one of the romancable npc's that will forgive you for sleeping with other women. If you go further into the game you'll have another chance to test that theory. Bear in mind that I'm not 100% sure though.

Dude, being evil dosn't get you dumped by anyone. I made an Evil party with my char Isair (Lawful Evil Fighter). Viconia, Edwin, Korgan and later on Sarevok , and i chose not to change Viconia into a goody goody, instead i kept her as the evil *itch we love. After which, when the ending came up, I had an Evil Romance ending ^^ hehe. So you see, just cause yer evil, dosn't mean you don't have a heart.

Viconia will forgive you for sleeping with other women... but its best not to sleep with Phaere to cause if you dont you get praise and if you do she sorta gets POd @ you

Do you really think so? You miss out on a lot of quest and especially roleplaying if you do that.

Yeah - what Coot said. I can't imagine who these "most people" are.

Besides, apart from minor role-playing details like not knowing where the eggs are until all the quests are completed, surely one needs to get the key from Phaere?

BTW, thanks for the various tips above. Boris is looking forward to a future of ecstatic evil with the ebon-skinned beauty. He's never had a girlfriend before, so here's hoping...

Viconia's romance is pretty cool

people say that if you sleep with the drow, or another women aerie and jaheira never forgive you. Well when I played I slept with the slave, I dont think aerie said anything, and then I slept with the drow, and aerie was shocked and stuff but the romance still went on, She still ending up sleeping with me so... I think that aerie can forgive you, she says she will not but she did

Fortunately for Aeries even if you screw up you get a second chance in the expansion... So by all means be a jerk if you want
