Yet another Mage Stronghold bug
Ok, I did the Planar sphere quest, and came back after emerging from the Underdark (Which is where I think the problem lies) but I came back to do the quest and Reyna asks to return home. Ribald wont let me pay him to teleport then home, and Wessalen from the Order of the Radiant Heart just offers to help me kill Bohdi.. Thats it...
How do I get around this? I want that damned ring of wizardry!!!!

ugh? are you talking about the Dragonlance knight's want to go home thing? If you are you dont get a ring of wizardry for it I dont think
You get a golden girdle (good vs some type of attack) fogot which.
Anyway if your really desperate find the person with the ring and just steal it. Or go into Shadowkeeper and give yourself the ring... Hmm wait that would be cheating huh?

I know... But once you return them to their home, or get them out of the way, they Teos brings in 3 aprentices.. And they can make you a ring of wizardry. it is part of the Mage Stronghold quest.

Ah! I couldn't understand the question the first time you asked it... I NEVER get the apprentices to make the ring of wizardry cuase one of them dies... then you dont get the nifty potion guy and you dont get the xp... there are 2 other rings of wizzi in the game anyway.
Why wont ribald let you teleport them out? Does it say he's busy? There is a patch for that... Does it not even come up? You need to talk to the knight people first and ask for help, then I think someone mentions Ribald... Either @ the copper coronet or your party..
Sorry this isnt much help, couldn't figure out what you were trying to say

well you must wait 10 days or so an this wizzi will appear. you can ask him about the knighty's and he'll bring you some 3 apps.
what i did is make the apps make the wand of apps then a mislead scroll then the ring if wizzi an only one survived making the ring of wizzardry
after asing the wizard about them knightys, you could talk to ribald pay him 9k(!) and he'll tell you about some wizard who knows of something(i never did that... yet i had no money, i was busy buying robe of venca etc)

Where's the other RoW? (Other than the one connected to jaheira
) And what's the potion guy?

AFAIK there are only two RoW in the game: the one you get in the Harper quest and the one of the mage stronghold.
Never heard of a third.

I meant there are 2 rings in the game, and if you want I believe pickpocketing lets you get another

I never heard you can pickpocket a ring of wiz.
You can pickpocket ring of regeneration and protection, plus you can exploit some bugs to get you a second ring of the Ram, ring of Acuity and ring of Gaax.
Probably you are confusing with the ring of Acuity.

Guys, if you're going to start up a thread like this with a post that offers spoilers from the start, *please* put a "spoiler" designation in the thread title. We get complaints all the time from people who are new to BG2--yeah, really--and they're annoyed at finding out info they didn't want to know, while reading seemingly innocuous threads, here. The site owner's sticky at the top of the forum requests this, too.
I've changed the title to this one, but would appreciate it if you'd keep that in mind, in the future. Thanks.

If you want to, I can put (SPOILER) in my title, though I don't think that wil help much

Since the first post of the thread contained spoilers, Waesel, I think the entire thread needs it. Which is why I changed it.
However, if you write a spoilerish post in a non-spoiler thread, the general way to respond is to put a big SPOILER at the beginning of the line, and then drop down 10 lines or so to continue. Prevents players from reading stuff they don't want.

Isn't posting in
black a better convention?

Sure; works for me. Now, if you want to continue discussing this, let's take it to PMs. The subject is the mage stronghold bug--unless somebody needs to be told about the forum rules.
