Strategy Help: House do Hexe - Etrius

Everytime I try and fight Etrius I die, without fail.
The walkthrough says just surround him and keep at it and he'll die. But I disagree. His "rain of fire" or whatever that discipline is takes me out every time, and either Christof or Whilhelm always Frenzy and start feeding on the other.
Right now I've got Christof armed with a Exquisite Battle Axe, Whilhelm with a Battle Axe, and Serena with a Lance. They're all very powerful weapons (60-65) but I just can't seem to get him to die.
