I have Jaheira in my party at level 3. I was given an extra skill for her and chose short sword.
When I tried to equip her with a short sword, I was told she couldn`t use it.
Does anybody know why this should be?

Look at the item description. Druids cant use shortswords.
They can however use daggers (IIRC).
You can change the point spend if youw ant using gatekeeper (not realy cheating, just correcting a mistake)

I did look at the description - it says `small sword`. To me, a dagger is a dagger and a sword is a sword.
I might give gatekeeper a try. In TOB I use her as a tank and very good she is too.

Try giveing here bluntweapons (quaterstaff) it you have TotSC
Or there are some good scemitars in the game (but for 2 of the you have to kill a certain drow)

This is what is confusing me. I don`t see how I can give her scimitars. According to her stats she can handle a sword. But I can`t equip her with one.
I used her all the way through SOA and TOB and I`ll use her again.
Perhaps when she goes up a few more grades things will improve.

You need to have Tales of the Sword Coast installed or else druids cant use scims.

I`ve just sent off for SOTSC, so hopefully she`ll soon be as good as she is in TOB!
